Climbing at Cleeve Hill offers a chance to tackle the limestone of Castle Rock while enjoying sweeping views over Cheltenham and the Malvern Hills. Suitable for beginners and experienced climbers alike, the sessions are designed to provide hands-on instruction in a supportive environment.
Climbers begin with a safety briefing and introduction to climbing techniques, including footwork, body positioning, and use of rope systems. Instructors demonstrate correct methods before participants try routes themselves.
Guided practice includes climbing several routes tailored to your ability, with continuous feedback and tips for improving technique and efficiency on the rock. Sessions are structured to allow climbers to gradually challenge themselves while remaining safe.
After climbing, instructors provide a debrief covering performance, safety, and strategies to improve future climbs. You’ll leave with improved skills, greater confidence on rock, and a deeper appreciation of the local climbing environment.
