Introductory divers who want structured training without committing to a full certification pathway will find this two-day course an effective starting point. It introduces core skills, safe diving practices, and foundational knowledge through a mix of e-learning, confined-water training, and open-water dives. The programme is designed to build confidence progressively while keeping the schedule manageable.
Your course begins with e-learning materials that introduce the core concepts of scuba diving, including pressure effects, equipment use, safety considerations, and underwater communication. Once you complete the first required chapters, your instructor reviews key points, answers questions, and prepares you for your in-water sessions. This structure ensures you arrive with a clear understanding of the foundational theory.
Confined-water training takes place at Azure Residences on Palm Jumeirah. You’ll complete a series of practical exercises, including buoyancy management, regulator recovery, mask clearing, and controlled breathing. These sessions are paced according to your progress and include four confined-water dives in a single training block. Once your instructor confirms you are ready, your open-water dives introduce more freedom while practising the same skills in a natural underwater environment.
The second day focuses on open-water progression. You will complete two open-water dives, combining skill practice with guided exploration of the local marine environment. The depth is limited to 12 metres, making the course suitable for new divers while still offering the experience of being fully submerged in the open sea. Flexible scheduling allows you to complete the two sessions on consecutive days or spread them out within a six-month window.
Training is based at the Palm Jumeirah coastline, where controlled conditions allow new divers to learn safely and steadily. The sheltered environment is ideal for skill development, particularly during the confined-water portion of the course. Instructors select areas with predictable depth and visibility to support a smooth learning experience.
Open-water dives take place at accessible Dubai dive sites chosen according to daily conditions. These sites offer gentle terrain, clear entry points, and enough marine life to make your first open-water experiences engaging while remaining manageable for beginners.
Participants must be at least 10 years old, in good general health, and able to complete basic swimming movements. A medical questionnaire is required, and in some cases, a doctor’s clearance may be necessary before in-water activity begins.
No prior scuba diving experience is needed. Completing the first two chapters of the e-learning material before your scheduled session is essential, as it prepares you for the skills taught during your confined-water training.
