Eight days in the Khumbu from Kathmandu give you a valley sightseeing day, both Lukla flights, and lodge nights in Phakding and Namche Bazaar, with an acclimatisation walk above the Sherpa town. An English-speaking guide meets you at Tribhuvan International Airport and stays through the return flight. The minimum age is 13.
A representative meets you at Tribhuvan International Airport and takes you to a Kathmandu hotel. The next day is a guided drive to Pashupatinath, Swayambhunath, Boudhanath, and Kathmandu Durbar Square. Then you'll fly about 40 minutes to Lukla and walk about three hours to Phakding for the first lodge night.
The following day is about six hours up to Namche Bazaar, the Sherpa market town at the gate of the Khumbu. You'll spend an acclimatisation day walking the villages and viewpoints around Namche so your body can settle, then walk seven to eight hours back to Lukla.
You'll fly back to Kathmandu and sit down to a farewell dinner with a cultural show. The walking stays around Namche rather than going on to higher Khumbu camps. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included on the trail days, and both Lukla flights are part of the trip. Hold on to your passport; Lukla flights need a clear morning.
