Stepping into advanced first aid training, you will develop the skills and confidence to handle serious workplace emergencies. Designed for high-risk industries such as construction, manufacturing, or transport, this 3-day course ensures you are prepared for situations ranging from minor injuries to life-threatening incidents. Practical, hands-on sessions allow you to practise techniques in realistic scenarios under the guidance of experienced emergency service professionals.
Across three days, you will work closely with instructors who are experienced emergency service professionals, applying theory in practical exercises. You’ll practise CPR, use of an AED, and treatment for injuries such as burns, fractures, and severe bleeding. Each scenario is designed to mirror real workplace incidents, helping you respond confidently when every second counts.
Hands-on practice is combined with discussion on recognising and managing major medical conditions such as asthma, diabetes, heart attack, and anaphylaxis. Instructors provide guidance on legal responsibilities, accident reporting, and the role of a first aider. By the end of the course, you will have completed a multiple-choice assessment and demonstrated competence in practical scenarios to earn your HSE-recognised certificate.
Courses are available at five central London venues: Old Street, Victoria, Heathrow, London Bridge, and Kings Cross. Each venue is chosen for its accessibility by public transport, providing a smooth journey to and from training. Facilities are designed to support interactive and practical sessions, with sufficient space and equipment to practice real-world scenarios safely.
In-house training can be arranged at your workplace for added convenience. Trainers will bring all materials and tailor the session to reflect your specific workplace hazards, making it an ideal option for teams and organisations wanting to train multiple staff members together.
No previous first aid experience is required, but you should be able to engage in light physical activity during practical exercises such as CPR. The course is suitable for individuals and groups in all sectors seeking HSE-recognised certification.
It is mandatory to present a form of photo identification on arrival. Arriving 15 minutes early is recommended to complete registration and prepare for the practical exercises.
Instructors are active or former emergency service professionals with years of real-world experience. You will benefit from practical insights and guidance that go beyond textbook scenarios, helping you gain confidence in real-life emergency situations.
Courses are accredited and fully compliant with workplace regulations, providing peace of mind that your training meets legal requirements. Flexible public sessions and in-house options across London allow you or your team to complete the course in a way that best suits your schedule and workplace needs.
