Our introductory kayaking session is designed for beginners who want to learn the basics of kayaking. Our experienced Paddle UK (formerly British Canoeing) instructors will guide you through fundamental skills, ensuring you gain confidence and enjoy the freedom of being on the water.
In your first lesson, you will be introduced to the essentials of kayaking. You will start by learning how to paddle effectively in a straight line, a crucial skill for maintaining control on the water. Our instructors will then teach you how to turn and stop your kayak safely, ensuring you can navigate the dock system with ease.
As you become more comfortable, you will practice getting in and out of your kayak, an important skill for any kayaker. Throughout the session, you will have the opportunity to try different types of kayaks, including sit-on-top kayaks and closed cockpits, allowing you to find the style that suits you best.
Queens Dock in Liverpool provides the perfect setting for your kayaking adventure. With a range of docks to explore, you will enjoy the unique experience of paddling through this historic and vibrant waterfront area.
