SUP Yoga combines stand-up paddleboarding with yoga. Participants perform yoga poses on a paddleboard on the water, enhancing the yoga experience with the added challenge of maintaining balance on a floating board. This practice not only improves strength, balance, and flexibility but also promotes relaxation through close contact with the water.
SUP Yoga helps improve core stability, overall strength, and balance while the serene setting provides a peaceful and meditative environment that enhances mental relaxation and stress reduction.
Each session can accommodate up to 8 participants. For larger groups, please contact us to arrange additional coaching resources – we will do our best to make it happen!
Wear comfortable, quick-drying clothing suitable for water activities, and water shoes or old trainers (something you don’t mind getting wet). Avoid cotton as it stays wet and can make you cold.
Yes, participants must be at least 8 years old to use their own paddleboard during the session. Younger children are welcome to join with parental supervision and appropriate safety measures. Please contact us to discuss.
Safety is our priority. Sessions may be rescheduled in the event of adverse weather conditions such as high winds or lightning. We will contact you to arrange an alternative date. However, this is really unlikely, as a bit of rain won’t stop us. Please assume your session is going ahead if you haven’t heard from us!
Non-swimmers are welcome but must wear a provided life jacket at all times on the water. Inform the coach, who will give extra attention to safety measures for non-swimmers.
Sessions start at Salthouse Quay, Liverpool L3 4SL. There is nearby public parking available (we can advise on this if you need). We recommend arriving at least 15 minutes early to find parking and prepare for the session.
Participants should be in good health and comfortable being in water. Please inform us of any medical conditions or concerns before the session so we can ensure your safety and comfort. You will be asked to sign a waiver before our session.
