Is axe throwing safe?

Yes. You throw one at a time in a caged lane, follow clear rules and instructions, and a coach runs the session throughout.

Do I need to be strong?

No. It is all in the technique and timing of the release. People who try to muscle it usually do worse.

Do I need experience?

None. The coach teaches you the throw, and most people are sticking axes within a few attempts.

Comfortable clothes and closed-toe shoes. Avoid open sandals.

What age can you start?

Usually older teens and adults, with minimum ages set by the venue. Check the specific session.

Is it good for groups?

Brilliant. It is a favourite for stag and hen dos, birthdays and work outings, with leagues and knockouts to settle who is best.

Axe Throwing | adventuro

Axe throwing is exactly what it says, in a safe and surprisingly skilful way. You learn to throw a hatchet so it turns once and sticks in the board, which is more about timing and a smooth release than strength. The thunk of a good stick is deeply satisfying.

It is a doddle to start and a riot in a group, which is why it has become a stag, hen and work-do staple. Instructors teach the technique, run the lanes and keep everything safe, so all you bring is your aim and a bit of competitive needle.
