Pedal at your own pace while your guide uncovers hidden corners, iconic landmarks, and local stories that bring the city to life.
Day 1 – Historic Centre Discovery (15 miles)
Meet your guide at the designated point and get familiar with your electric bike, helmet, and equipment. Your guide will brief you on safety, route details, and tips for cycling in Rome. Begin riding along the Tiber River, enjoying the flow of the city and the calm of the riverbanks. Stop to admire Baroque fountains and squares, including Piazza Navona and the Spanish Steps. Explore lesser-known alleys and hidden corners, capturing unique photos along the way.
Ride past iconic landmarks while listening to stories of Rome’s evolution from ancient times to today. Experience the vibrant atmosphere of local markets, cafés, and street life. Take occasional pauses to rest, photograph, or simply enjoy the energy of the city. The evening concludes with a relaxed return to your accommodation, reflecting on the city’s historic charm and modern vibrancy.
Day 2 – Via Appia Antica and Catacombs (21 miles)
Begin the day early to cycle along the Via Appia Antica, one of the oldest roads in the world. Feel the texture of the ancient stones beneath your wheels and enjoy the quiet surroundings. Pass monumental tombs, ancient ruins, and rural landscapes, learning about Roman history, architecture, and engineering.
Pause at the Aqueduct Park to admire Roman aqueducts stretching across the skyline. Continue toward the Catacombs for an underground tour, exploring burial chambers and tunnels rich in history and spirituality. After visiting the Catacombs, enjoy a prepared lunch before heading back to the meeting point. Along the way, notice the Roman countryside, ancient farmhouses, and protected natural areas, creating a memorable connection between past and present.
Day 3 – Villas, Gardens, and Hidden Corners (12 miles)
Cycle through Rome’s green lungs, starting with Villa Borghese. Ride along tree-lined avenues, past ponds, sculptures, and small cafes. Enjoy quiet corners for photography, relaxation, or simply to soak in the serenity of the park. Next, explore Villa Ada, where wilder greenery and hidden spots offer a sense of discovery and escape from the urban environment.
Conclude the tour by choosing between the Crypt of the Capuchins, with its intricate artistic displays, or the Art Deco architecture of the Coppedè district. Throughout the day, the guide will provide insights on art, architecture, and local legends. End your trip reflecting on the blend of history, nature, and culture experienced over the three days.

Accommodation is provided in comfortable double rooms at a Bike Hotel, either a B&B or a 3* hotel, with breakfast included. Each property is carefully selected for its convenient location and welcoming atmosphere, making it easy for you to rest and recharge between your cycling adventures. Your luggage is transferred for you, so you can travel light and fully enjoy the city and surrounding areas.
The hotels offer essential amenities and a friendly environment, allowing you to unwind after each day’s activity. While staying here, you will be close to the starting points of your rides, ensuring smooth transitions between guided tours, meals, and evening leisure. Any special requests, such as dietary requirements, can be communicated in advance to ensure your stay is comfortable.
Participants must be comfortable riding an electric bike and able to handle daily distances of 12–21 miles. A minimum level of experience in cycling on mixed surfaces—smooth asphalt, dirt roads, and light inclines—is necessary. Children may join with bike extensions or seats, and the guide will determine suitability before departure. Helmets are mandatory, and safety instructions must be followed at all times.
Physical fitness and readiness are essential, as the tour involves cycling for several hours each day with occasional stops for sightseeing. Riders should bring layered clothing for comfort in changing weather, and prepare for moderate exercise, including climbing small hills and navigating varying road conditions safely.
Guides combine extensive knowledge of Rome’s history with a passion for cycling, sharing stories that make every stop engaging. TripAdvisor reviews consistently praise the high level of professionalism, attention to detail, and engaging presentation. Groups are kept small to ensure personalised attention and a comfortable experience for all.
Sustainability and comfort are core to this tour, with electric bikes, luggage transfer, and carefully planned routes through both busy streets and quiet parks. Accommodation is provided in selected B&Bs or 3* hotels, giving participants a secure and convenient base while exploring the city. The combination of guided exploration, cultural insight, and flexible e-bike support offers a uniquely immersive way to experience Rome.
Light rain doesn’t affect the running of the tour, so the activity goes ahead as planned. Participants are offered complimentary waterproof ponchos to keep them comfortable throughout, and the guide adjusts the pace if needed to suit the conditions. Many groups enjoy the experience just as much in gentle rain, especially with the extra layer provided.
More severe conditions, such as heavy rain or thunderstorms, mean the tour cannot run safely. If this happens, the session is cancelled and the full amount paid is refunded. Safety is the guiding factor in these decisions, and updates are passed on as early as possible so participants know exactly what to expect.
We welcome a wide range of ages on our e-bike tours, and the equipment provided is matched carefully to each rider. Younger children can join using either a rear baby seat for ages 1–5 (up to 20 kg) or a trailer bike for ages 6–9, both of which are securely attached to an adult’s e-bike. From age 10 onward, children may ride their own e-bike if they have solid independent cycling experience and are at least 140 cm tall, though we generally recommend independent riding from age 11.
There are also a few upper limits to keep everyone safe and comfortable. The maximum recommended age for participants is 75, and the weight limit for any rider or equipment setup is 100 kg. These guidelines help ensure each bike performs as intended and that every participant enjoys a smooth and controlled ride.
Our regular tours operate with a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 8 participants, which keeps each outing comfortable and well-paced. These small-group limits apply to standard daily departures, ensuring riders receive plenty of guidance and support from the team throughout the experience.
For larger parties, the capacity expands significantly. The centre is fully equipped to organise multiple groups at the same time and can handle single bookings far above the usual numbers, with the ability to accommodate up to 80 participants in one coordinated session. This structure allows big groups to enjoy the same quality of service while moving through the route smoothly and safely.
Safety is our top priority. All routes have been chosen for low traffic and manageable terrain, with expert guides accompanying participants at all times. The group is small to allow close supervision, and safety briefings are conducted before each ride. Helmets are required, and guides provide instructions on handling e-bikes, navigating turns, and managing different road surfaces.
Participants should be aware that the tour involves cycling for multiple hours each day. While physically accessible for most, riders must follow the guide’s advice and instructions to avoid accidents. The guide reserves the right to adjust participation if a rider is deemed unsafe due to health or skill concerns.
Bring comfortable layered clothing suitable for weather changes, rain gear, and sturdy cycling shoes. A backpack for personal items, sunglasses, a hat or bandana, and sunscreen is recommended. Participants should carry personal medicines, insect repellent, a phone charger, and a refillable water bottle to stay hydrated throughout the day.
E-bike helmets are provided, but you may bring your own if preferred. Dress appropriately for visits to religious or historic sites, and pack lightly, as luggage beyond the small trolley provided will require additional arrangements.
Accommodation is provided in B&Bs or 3* hotels selected for comfort and proximity to the tour meeting point. Rooms include breakfast, and luggage is transferred daily from the hotel to the start of the ride. Extra nights or upgrades are available on request, but must be arranged in advance.
Hotels follow local regulations and may require a credit card as a guarantee at check-in. Participants should respect hotel rules to ensure smooth services for all guests. Any specific requests for dietary needs should be communicated when booking.
