Join us for a rock climbing session in Langdale, one of the Lake District’s most iconic climbing areas. This session is perfect for groups, families, or anyone seeking a mix of challenge and fun in the Cumbrian fells. Private group sessions can be arranged upon request, allowing your group to enjoy a fully customised experience with tailored routes and coaching.
Your session begins at the Langdale climbing site, where all necessary equipment will be provided including harnesses, helmets, and ropes. Instructors will start with a safety briefing and demonstration of basic climbing and belaying techniques.
Throughout the 3-hour session, you will explore a variety of climbs suitable for different abilities. Instructors provide guidance on climbing techniques, problem-solving, and movement on rock. Private sessions can also be arranged for groups who want a tailored experience, offering more focus on skill development or specific routes.
Langdale is set in the heart of the Lake District, offering a mix of classic crags and challenging rock faces. The area features dramatic fells and scenic valleys, providing both a visually stunning and technical climbing experience.
The meeting point is easily accessible from the local car parks, with the surrounding landscape offering plenty of space for instruction, preparation, and practice before heading onto the climbs.

Long trousers or shorts made of stretchy material allow for ease of movement. Ensure you wear good-fitting shoes or boots suitable for climbing; avoid sandals or flip-flops. Additionally, bringing a waterproof jacket may be beneficial in case of rain.
All essential climbing equipment, including harnesses, helmets, and climbing ropes, will be provided for the session. Participants should bring their own climbing shoes if they have them, as well as a water bottle to stay hydrated.

Dan, the guide was great
We had a fantastic time with Ian. Excellent guidance alongside time to have fun and play about. We had a private group of 8 and everyone remarked on what fun they had had. Would thoroughly recommend and keen to go again!
Dan is a great instructor and we all (adults and teenagers) had a fantastic time. I would thoroughly recommend this scramble for beginners, but there were also more difficult options.
The Ghyll scramble was well led by Dan both from a safety and enjoyment view point. The only down side was there was nowhere private to get changed into and out of our swim gear. Due to embarrassment my 12 year old ended up walking 2 miles in wet gear…
An amazing experience which challenged us all including adults and children. We had a great laugh with our instructor Dan and even on the challenging bits he made us have the belief to give it a go. We all loved it.
Our instructor had all the correct gear all in good working order. We felt safe whilst also having fun. It was a great experience. I would highly recommend..
Thank you for an amazing afternoon paddle boarding on Lake Coniston. Monty did a great job organising all of the kit and explaining what we needed to know. He managed to get two complete novices up on the board and out on the Lake in no time. My daughter Evie…
An excellent experience.. The instructor Dan was brilliant . Very friendly and easy to get along with . Such a beautiful place to paddle board . Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to give it a go . Will be back !! Excellent 👌
