Step into a suspended world of bouncy nets, roller slides, walkways and soft play areas near Lake Windermere. This open format adventure gives families and friends two unhurried hours to climb, bounce and discover their own favourite corners among the trees.
Arrive 30 minutes before your timed session to check in, prepare for active outdoor play and hear the safety guidance. Once inside, choose your own route across two levels of springy walkways, tunnels, ball zones, roller slides and a climbing chute, returning to favourite features whenever you like.
There is no prescribed circuit or race to finish, so the group can explore at a pace that suits them. The detailed itinerary below walks through each stage, from arrival and briefing to the final moments beside the lake.
Brockhole sits beside Lake Windermere in the Lake District, where mature trees, lawns and the water create an outdoor setting for the adventure. The elevated nets add an active highlight to a day in an area known for its lakeside views and woodland walks.
The location works well for a family day out, with Windermere and the surrounding Lake District within easy reach. After your session, the nearby gardens and lake shore offer a gentler way to extend the day, whether you are visiting locally or travelling into the area.
No previous climbing or ropes experience is required, but everyone taking part must be able to walk and move confidently on bouncy, elevated netting. Participants must be aged 3 or over and weigh no more than 130kg. Babies in arms cannot enter the activity.
Wear closed toe, flat shoes such as trainers or walking boots, together with comfortable clothing that allows free movement and suits the weather. People with injuries or conditions affecting ankles or knees should not take part. Younger participants need adult supervision in line with the activity guidance given at check in.
Rather than following a fixed obstacle course, you have room to make the experience your own. The open net playground lets a group slow down, build confidence and revisit favourite features without feeling pushed through a set route.
Guidance is given before you start, then the time is yours to explore together. With slides, tunnels, walkways and soft play areas spread across the nets, there are different ways to move and play throughout the full two hour session.
