Sailing enthusiasts of all levels can enjoy the waters of Alcudia with a flexible rental of Raquero, Quba, or Catamaran boats. Whether you're sailing solo or sharing the experience, each boat offers a unique way to get out on the water — no need to own a vessel or book a lesson.
Raquero Rental
Ideal for those wanting to sail with friends or family, the Raquero accommodates between 1 and 4 people. It’s a stable, versatile boat, great for relaxed sailing close to the shore. You can choose from 1-hour or 2-hour sessions, or opt for a bonus pack of 5 rentals if you plan to come back more than once. Raquero boats are great for mixed-experience groups and offer a fun, straightforward way to enjoy the sea at your own pace.
Quba Rental
The RS Quba is perfect for one or two people and suits those who prefer a lighter, more nimble sail. It’s easy to control and suited to solo sailors or pairs with a bit of experience under their belt. Available in the same rental durations as the Raquero, the Quba is a popular choice for those looking for personal freedom on the water. The boat handles well in calm conditions and is a good step up for those with basic dinghy sailing knowledge.
Catamaran Rental
Our Hobie CAT 16 catamarans offer speed and excitement for sailors with prior experience. With space for 2 to 3 people, this option is best suited to those who already know how to handle sail-powered craft and want something faster and more performance-focused. You’ll need to demonstrate sailing competence before heading out, but once on the water, the Cat delivers a fast-paced, responsive ride across the bay. Like the other boats, rentals are available by the hour or in discounted multi-use packs.
All rentals take place from Paseo Marítimo #1, within Club Náutico Alcudiamar in Puerto de Alcudia. This marina sits right on the edge of Alcudia Bay, a large sheltered area known for its safe waters and consistent breeze — ideal for small-boat sailing. It’s a favourite spot for sailors of all skill levels and offers enough space to enjoy your time on the water without venturing too far from shore.
The location also benefits from nearby cafes, shops, and beach access, making it easy to plan a full day out. The marina facilities are well-kept, and launching your boat is straightforward with support from the on-site team. Whether you’re staying nearby or travelling in just for the activity, it’s a convenient and scenic spot to begin your sailing session.
Rentals require previous sailing experience! If you have no experience please book a lesson (scroll down to see options).
Raquero and Quba boats can be rented without formal certification, though you should feel comfortable handling sails and steering in light conditions. If you're unsure, the team can assess your confidence level and offer basic shore guidance before you set off. These boats are beginner-friendly but do assume a bit of familiarity with sailing principles.
The Catamaran (Hobie CAT 16) is a more powerful vessel and not suitable for complete beginners. You’ll need to demonstrate that you can manage sail trim, tacking, and navigation before being allowed to rent. If you're unsure which boat is right for you, a quick chat with staff will help point you in the right direction.
This centre specialises in self-guided boat hire for those who want to experience the joy of sailing without needing to sign up for a course. Boats are well maintained and ready to go, and the team is on hand to help you choose the right fit based on your group size and experience. The flexible time slots and option to buy a 5-session bonus pack make it convenient for holidaymakers or locals looking to sail regularly.
Whether you want a peaceful cruise in a Raquero, a playful spin in a Quba, or something a little more high-energy on a Catamaran, there’s an option to suit. With the marina’s prime location, easy access to the bay, and support from a knowledgeable team, this is one of the best ways to enjoy sailing in Mallorca on your own terms.
Yes, hotel pick-up is available for guests staying in the northern part of Mallorca. This includes Puerto Pollença, Alcudia, Port of Alcudia, Muro Beaches, and Can Picafort. Transport is available for groups of a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 8 people. This service is designed to make your experience more convenient, particularly if you’re staying nearby but not directly within walking distance of the port.

You’ll have access to full on-site facilities, including changing rooms, toilets, and secure lockers for your belongings. This makes it easy to change in and out of your gear before and after your session, without needing to arrive already prepared. The facilities are kept clean and well-maintained for your comfort and convenience.
As part of the activity, all necessary safety and technical equipment is provided. This includes professional-grade nautical equipment, buoyancy vests, and insurance cover for both liability and accidents. The aim is to provide a safe, comfortable, and well-supported experience from start to finish, with everything you need available on-site.
If weather conditions on the day of your reservation prevent the activity from going ahead, there’s no need to worry. Your booking is flexible, and the team will work with you to reschedule for another available slot before the end of your holiday. This means you won’t miss out due to circumstances beyond anyone’s control.
Mallorca’s weather can change quickly, but safety is always the priority. If the forecast poses any risk or would negatively impact the quality of the session, the activity will be postponed. In most cases, an alternative day can be found, and you’ll be informed in plenty of time if there’s any need to rearrange.
The activity takes place in a designated area within the bay at Port d’Alcudia, which is known for its calm waters and scenic surroundings. There’s a clearly marked nautical channel that ensures a safe and organised area for watersports. This location allows for a safe and enjoyable experience regardless of your ability level, making it suitable for most participants.
The full address is Paseo Marítimo, 1, 07400 Port d’Alcudia, on the island of Mallorca in the Balearic Islands. The port area is easy to access and well-equipped, with nearby cafes and facilities if you want to relax before or after your session. The calm conditions of the bay also make it an ideal location for first-time participants or those looking to build confidence on the water.
To get the most out of your session, it's recommended to come prepared with a few basic items. You’ll need a swimsuit, a cap or visor for sun protection, sunglasses, and sunscreen to help protect against the midday heat. A towel is also a good idea for drying off afterwards, especially if you’re planning to change at the on-site facilities.
For your feet, bring water shoes such as flip-flops, aqua booties or other non-slip footwear. This will help you move comfortably around the shore and equipment area, especially if surfaces are wet or uneven. Staying hydrated is also important, so bringing a water bottle is advisable, particularly on hotter days.
If you're new to sailing but feel confident giving it a go, the Raquero or Quba boats are the best options. These boats are relatively simple to handle, especially in the calm conditions usually found in Alcudia Bay. While there's no formal training provided, the team will give you a quick safety overview and check that you know the basics — like how to steer, stop, and manage the sail.
For those with no sailing experience at all, it's best to bring along someone who has at least a basic understanding of sailing principles. The Catamaran is not suitable for beginners and will only be hired out to individuals or groups who can demonstrate competence. If you’re unsure, it’s worth speaking to the team on-site before booking.
Each boat offers a slightly different experience. The Raquero is the most stable and can hold up to four people, making it a great choice for small groups or families. It’s forgiving and easy to sail, even if not everyone on board has sailing experience. The Quba is lighter and smaller, with space for one or two people, and offers a more hands-on, responsive sailing feel.
The Catamaran (Hobie CAT 16) is the most advanced of the three. It’s fast, highly responsive, and designed for sailors who want a bit more excitement on the water. It requires previous sailing experience, as it reacts more sharply to wind and sail adjustments. Each option allows you to explore the bay at your own pace, depending on what kind of sailing day you’re after.
