Pedal through the heart of Rome on an electric bike, discovering famous landmarks and hidden corners with the help of a local guide. You will experience the city’s history and atmosphere from a unique perspective, enjoying a relaxed pace along quiet streets and riverside paths. Small group and private options let you tailor the experience to your preferences.
Your tour begins at Lungotevere delle Armi, where you meet your guide, receive a briefing, and get fitted with your e-bike and helmet. The route covers central landmarks including Piazza del Popolo, the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, and Campo de’ Fiori Market. Along the way, your guide shares anecdotes, trivia, and hidden stories about the city, making each stop engaging and informative.
The ride continues through the Jewish Ghetto, Capitoline Hill, and Castel Sant’Angelo, with optional panoramic views like the Giardino degli Aranci and Keyhole View. You will travel mostly on asphalt streets and the Tiber cycle path, on roads carefully selected to minimise traffic while ensuring an authentic city experience. Breaks can be taken for photos or refreshments at cafés along the way.
Private tours allow exclusive access to your guide, making it easy to personalise stops, focus on favourite sites, or adjust pace. Safety is a priority: quiet streets, expert guidance, and small group sizes help everyone feel at ease while enjoying the ride.
Starting from Lungotevere delle Armi, you are centrally positioned to access iconic streets, piazzas, and riverside paths. The area is close to Lepanto Metro (Line A), making it convenient for arrival and departure.
Routes cover Rome’s city centre entirely, connecting landmarks, historical streets, and the scenic Tiber cycle path. Riders get to see both bustling squares and quieter neighbourhoods, offering a varied urban cycling experience.
Riders should have some experience handling a bicycle, particularly if a child seat or extension is used. Children under 12 can join using extensions or child seats, while those 12 and older may ride independently on e-bikes. Infants up to 20 kg can participate in a child seat.
Pregnant women are not recommended to join, and pets are not allowed. In exceptional circumstances such as public events, some highlights may be replaced for safety and accessibility.
A local guide leads every tour, sharing insider knowledge, historical context, and little-known facts about the Eternal City. Their expertise ensures a smooth, enjoyable ride for riders of varying skill levels.
The small group format maximises interaction and safety, while private tours provide an even more personalised experience. High-quality e-bikes, maintained regularly, and included helmets and locks guarantee a comfortable and secure ride, letting you focus entirely on exploring Rome’s streets and landmarks.
Light rain doesn’t affect the running of the tour, so the activity goes ahead as planned. Participants are offered complimentary waterproof ponchos to keep them comfortable throughout, and the guide adjusts the pace if needed to suit the conditions. Many groups enjoy the experience just as much in gentle rain, especially with the extra layer provided.
More severe conditions, such as heavy rain or thunderstorms, mean the tour cannot run safely. If this happens, the session is cancelled and the full amount paid is refunded. Safety is the guiding factor in these decisions, and updates are passed on as early as possible so participants know exactly what to expect.
We welcome a wide range of ages on our e-bike tours, and the equipment provided is matched carefully to each rider. Younger children can join using either a rear baby seat for ages 1–5 (up to 20 kg) or a trailer bike for ages 6–9, both of which are securely attached to an adult’s e-bike. From age 10 onward, children may ride their own e-bike if they have solid independent cycling experience and are at least 140 cm tall, though we generally recommend independent riding from age 11.
There are also a few upper limits to keep everyone safe and comfortable. The maximum recommended age for participants is 75, and the weight limit for any rider or equipment setup is 100 kg. These guidelines help ensure each bike performs as intended and that every participant enjoys a smooth and controlled ride.
Our regular tours operate with a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 8 participants, which keeps each outing comfortable and well-paced. These small-group limits apply to standard daily departures, ensuring riders receive plenty of guidance and support from the team throughout the experience.
For larger parties, the capacity expands significantly. The centre is fully equipped to organise multiple groups at the same time and can handle single bookings far above the usual numbers, with the ability to accommodate up to 80 participants in one coordinated session. This structure allows big groups to enjoy the same quality of service while moving through the route smoothly and safely.
The tour lasts approximately four hours and covers about 15 km through central Rome. You will pass major landmarks, hidden gems, and riverside paths, travelling mostly on asphalt streets with minimal traffic.
Itineraries are designed for ease and comfort, with suggested stops for photos and refreshments. Private tours can adjust the route to focus on your interests or explore areas in more detail.
Yes, infants up to 20 kg can ride in child seats, and children up to 139 cm join with extensions. Kids aged 12 and older may ride their own e-bike. Families can enjoy a safe, shared experience with guidance from the local expert.
Stops and scenic points along the route allow breaks for younger riders, while small group sizes make it manageable for everyone.
Riders should have basic experience handling a bicycle. Guides provide instruction and support throughout the tour, and they reserve the right to restrict participation if safety or fitness concerns arise.
Extensions and child seats allow less experienced riders to join safely, while e-bikes make longer distances and hills easier to manage.
Yes, booking a private tour ensures an exclusive guide and a tailored route. You can adjust pace, select stops, or explore hidden corners that interest you most.
This option is ideal for families, couples, or groups wanting a more personalised and immersive experience.
Yes, routes prioritise quieter streets and cycle paths wherever possible. Expert guides accompany the group at all times, monitoring safety and providing instructions for navigating traffic.
The combination of small group size, e-bike assistance, and careful route planning ensures riders can relax and enjoy the city confidently.
