🌿 What to Expect

Travel begins with private pickup in San Jose, followed by a drive through mountain roads and sections of dense rainforest within the central volcanic region. Arrival at the activity base includes a full briefing and equipment fitting before heading into the canopy course. The zipline circuit takes you between forest platforms, finishing with a long cable crossing above a river canyon, offering wide views across the surrounding greenery.

Once the canopy experience is complete, attention shifts to horseback riding along forest tracks guided by local riders. The pace here is slower and more grounded, following natural trails through jungle surroundings and open patches of vegetation. After both activities, lunch is served before the return journey begins back towards San Jose.

📍 Location

Sarapiquí lies within Costa Rica’s northern rainforest belt, an area shaped by volcanic formations, heavy rainfall and fast-growing tropical vegetation. The route from San Jose passes through protected national park sections known for steep terrain and dense forest cover.

The activity setting sits close to river systems and rainforest corridors where biodiversity is especially rich. Trails and canopy lines are built into the natural environment, allowing both activities to take place within the same ecological zone.

⚠️ Prerequisites

No prior experience is needed for either activity as full instruction is provided before starting. All safety equipment and guidance are included from the beginning of each section.

A reasonable level of general fitness is helpful due to walking between platforms and controlling a horse on uneven terrain. Comfort with heights and outdoor environments is also recommended.
