Discover the freedom and beauty of the outdoors with a private, guided hike tailored to your preferences. Whether you seek a peaceful exploration of scenic lowlands or a more challenging adventure through rugged terrains, a personalised hiking experience awaits you. With an experienced instructor by your side, you’ll gain insights and skills while immersing yourself in the natural splendour of the Peak District or Derbyshire.
Your private guided hike will start at a time that suits you, with a designated meeting point and planned route tailored to your interests. Depending on your preference, you can choose a serene lowland path to enjoy the pastoral landscapes, canals, and local pubs, where you’ll also learn basic navigation skills. Alternatively, opt for a more demanding trail like Chrome Hill or Kinder Scout for a tougher challenge.
Throughout the day, your guide will share valuable insights about the area, including its natural features and hidden gems. You’ll receive expert guidance on navigating your chosen route, ensuring both safety and enjoyment. If desired, you can use this opportunity to enhance your mountain skills or prepare for future trekking challenges. The flexibility of a private session allows you to customise the experience to suit your group's needs and pace.
The hike location is chosen by you, providing the flexibility to explore various areas within the Peak District or Derbyshire.
Whether you prefer well-known trails or more secluded paths, your guide's extensive local knowledge will help you make the most of your day outdoors.
This guided hike is suitable for all ages and fitness levels, as routes can be adjusted to meet your group’s abilities. No prior experience is required, although basic fitness and a willingness to engage in outdoor activity will enhance your enjoyment.
For more challenging routes, some prior hiking experience is beneficial but not necessary.

Wear comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing that allows for movement. Opt for moisture-wicking layers to manage sweat, and avoid jeans as they can be restrictive and uncomfortable.
Good quality walking boots or trainers with decent grip are essential for traction and support. Bring waterproof clothing (jacket and trousers) to prepare for any sudden weather changes.
Ensure you are adequately hydrated and have had a nutritious meal before starting. Review the route you’ve chosen and make sure it aligns with your fitness level. If you have any specific needs or goals, discuss these with your guide beforehand to tailor the experience to your requirements.
Pack essential items including a day rucksack (about 30L), food and drink, any necessary medication, and walking poles if you use them.
The terrain varies depending on the route you choose. For gentler hikes, expect well-maintained paths through farmland, canals, and scenic views. For more challenging routes, like those in rugged areas such as Chrome Hill or Kinder Scout, prepare for steeper and potentially rougher terrain.
Your guide will adjust the route based on your preferences and fitness level.
The guided hike is suitable for all ages, but the difficulty of the route can be adjusted based on the participants’ abilities and preferences.
If you’re planning to bring children or elderly individuals, make sure to discuss their needs with the guide so they can ensure the route is appropriate for everyone.
Pets may be allowed depending on the route and the guide’s discretion. Please contact us via the adventuro chat below to discuss.
Make sure your dog is well-behaved and able to handle the hike’s demands.
