Making time for yourself can be difficult, which is exactly what this full-day experience is designed for. Combining a guided wild swim with carefully chosen wellbeing activities, it's an opportunity to enjoy Pembrokeshire's coastline, switch off from everyday routines and leave feeling refreshed in both body and mind.
Your day begins with a relaxed beach session led by Sue, including a guided swim, dip or paddle where conditions allow. If the sea isn't suitable for entering the water, the session is adapted so you can still enjoy time by the coast before continuing with the rest of the experience.
After the morning by the sea, you'll continue with one of two wellbeing experiences, depending on the date you've booked.
Instead of using one permanent venue, each day begins at a carefully selected beach chosen according to the weather, tides and sea conditions. This flexible approach allows the team to make the most of Pembrokeshire's coastline while providing the safest and most enjoyable environment for everyone attending.
Depending on the experience you've booked, the afternoon continues either at a nearby indoor venue or at Three Fields Campsite. There may be a short drive between the beach and the afternoon location, but this allows the team to choose the best coastal conditions without being restricted to one fixed meeting point.
No previous wild swimming or wellbeing experience is required. Whether you're completely new to sea swimming or already enjoy spending time in the water, you're encouraged to participate at your own pace and simply enjoy the day.
Please bring suitable clothing for both the beach and the weather, along with your swimming kit and any personal items listed in your joining information. A short drive between venues may also be required depending on the day's locations.
Helping people experience the positive effects of time spent in and around the sea has been at the heart of this centre for many years. Sue's background in swimming instruction, lifesaving and water safety creates a welcoming environment where guests feel supported from the moment they arrive, regardless of experience.
Working alongside trusted local wellbeing practitioners means every retreat offers more than just a swim. By combining expert guidance, carefully chosen locations and a friendly atmosphere, each day is designed to help you relax, recharge and enjoy everything Pembrokeshire has to offer.
The Standard Wellbeing Day combines a morning by the sea with one featured wellbeing activity after lunch. Depending on the date you choose, this could be yoga and breathwork, a watercolour workshop, a clay session or a relaxing soundbath. Each day focuses on one activity, allowing you to fully enjoy the experience in a calm and unhurried environment.
The Three Fields Wellbeing Day follows the same beach-based start but offers a more immersive afternoon. After lunch at Three Fields Campsite, you'll enjoy yoga, breathwork, mindfulness, a sauna and an ice bath, creating a retreat-style experience that combines several different wellbeing practices in one day.
Not at all. The morning coastal session is designed to suit everyone, whether you prefer a swim, a gentle dip or simply paddling at the water's edge. You're encouraged to participate in whichever way feels comfortable for you.
Many guests are trying wild swimming for the first time, while others simply enjoy being beside the sea. The emphasis is on relaxation and wellbeing rather than swimming a particular distance.
Absolutely. Every activity has been designed with beginners in mind, so there's no expectation that you'll have any previous experience. The practitioners guide you through everything at a relaxed pace, making it easy to join in and enjoy yourself.
Whether you're stretching during yoga, experimenting with paint, working with clay or simply lying back during a soundbath, the aim is to help you unwind rather than master a new skill.
Safety is always the priority, and on the rare occasions when conditions aren't suitable for entering the water, the day is adapted rather than cancelled. Thanks to extensive local knowledge, the team always looks for sheltered locations first, but nature can't always be predicted.
If swimming isn't possible, you'll still enjoy a rewarding coastal wellbeing experience before continuing with the rest of the day's programme. The focus remains on helping everyone enjoy time outdoors safely.
Yes. A freshly prepared lunch is included with the full-day wellbeing experiences, giving everyone time to relax together before the afternoon activities begin.
If you have dietary requirements or allergies, simply mention them when booking and every effort will be made to accommodate your needs.
Each beach venue is selected shortly before the event based on weather, tides and sea conditions. This allows the team to choose the safest and most enjoyable location available rather than using the same beach every time.
After the coastal session, you'll travel to either a nearby indoor venue or Three Fields Campsite, depending on the experience you've booked. Full joining information is shared before your event.
