Looking for an outdoor activity that combines teamwork, strategy and plenty of action? This paintball experience in Perthshire offers a variety of exciting game scenarios in a woodland setting, making it ideal for families, friends, stag and hen groups, and corporate events.
After arriving at the activity centre, you'll meet your marshal, who will explain how the session works before issuing your protective clothing and equipment. A full safety briefing covers how to use the paintball markers, the rules of play and safe movement around the game zones. Once everyone is ready, you'll head into the woodland arena where a series of different missions await.
Each game has its own objective, keeping the experience varied from start to finish. You may find yourself defending a position against an attacking team, escorting teammates to safety, taking control of key locations or working together to eliminate the opposition using careful planning and communication. As the games progress, the challenges become more tactical, encouraging teamwork while keeping the action moving throughout the session. Whether you're playing competitively or simply for fun, every round offers something different.
The paintball site is located in Aberfeldy, surrounded by the forests and countryside of Highland Perthshire. The natural woodland creates an excellent setting for tactical games, with plenty of cover, varied terrain and purpose-built playing areas that make every match feel different.
Aberfeldy is a popular destination for outdoor activities, with rivers, forests and walking trails nearby. The location also makes it easy to combine paintball with other adventure experiences for a full day outdoors.
No previous paintball experience is necessary, and the games are suitable for beginners as well as returning players. Participants should be comfortable taking part in outdoor physical activity and following instructions from the marshal throughout the session.
Please wear old clothes suitable for outdoor conditions and sturdy footwear with good grip. During colder weather, bringing a hoodie or extra warm layer is recommended.
The centre specialises in delivering outdoor adventure experiences with a strong focus on safety, organisation and enjoyment. Experienced marshals oversee every game, ensuring players understand the rules while creating a fun and well-managed environment for groups of all ages.
With professionally maintained equipment, a variety of engaging game scenarios and a woodland location designed for action-packed play, every session offers a memorable day outdoors whether you're celebrating a special occasion or simply enjoying time with friends and family.
No experience is required at all. The session is designed to be suitable for complete beginners as well as those who have played paintball before, with experienced marshals guiding everyone through the day.
Before the games begin, you'll receive a full introduction to the equipment, safety rules and how each game works. The marshal will also be available throughout the session to answer questions and ensure everyone feels comfortable before heading into the playing area.
You'll be provided with protective clothing, including a boiler suit, helmet and eye protection, but it's still important to wear comfortable clothes underneath. Clothing that allows you to move freely is ideal, as you'll be walking, crouching and occasionally running between cover.
Old trainers, walking shoes or boots with good grip are recommended, as the woodland terrain can become muddy or uneven. During the colder months, wearing a hoodie or extra warm layer underneath your protective clothing will help keep you comfortable.
Yes. Everything needed to take part safely is provided on arrival, including your paintball marker, helmet, eye protection, protective clothing and all other required safety equipment.
All equipment is regularly inspected and maintained before sessions, and your marshal will ensure it fits correctly before explaining how to use it safely during the games.
Rather than repeating the same format, you'll take part in a variety of different mission-based games throughout the session. Scenarios may include defending a position, escorting teammates, capturing objectives, surviving sniper challenges or working together to eliminate the opposing team.
Each game encourages different tactics, communication and teamwork, so every round feels different. The variety keeps the session interesting and gives everyone the chance to try different approaches and strategies.
Yes. Children aged 8 and above can take part, making it a great activity for families looking to enjoy an outdoor adventure together. The games are supervised throughout, with safety remaining the priority at every stage.
The marshal adjusts the pace of the games to suit the group, ensuring younger players and first-time participants have an enjoyable experience while still providing plenty of action for everyone involved.
You'll spend much of the session moving around the woodland arena, using natural cover, walking between objectives and occasionally running short distances during the games. A reasonable level of mobility is helpful, but you don't need to be particularly fit to enjoy the experience.
Players are free to take the games at their own pace, and many of the objectives reward good teamwork and planning rather than speed alone, allowing everyone to get involved regardless of experience.
Absolutely. Paintball is a popular choice for birthdays, family celebrations, stag and hen groups, school groups and corporate team-building events because it combines friendly competition with teamwork and plenty of laughs.
The variety of game scenarios means every member of the group can get involved, making it easy to create a memorable day out whether you're celebrating a special occasion or simply spending time together.

Absolutely awesome morning out. Klaudia was a great instructor, and it was great that it was on the river with some faster flowing water.. Only remark: It could have been a bit longer (it was more 2-hours then 3-hours), it was so much fun, we wouldn't have minded it was…
So much fun! We had a fabulous day and thoroughly recommend this - thank you x
