Gather friends or family together for a private sailing trip around Palma Bay aboard a spacious Bavaria yacht designed for larger groups. Combining coastal cruising, swimming stops, and local sailing knowledge, the experience offers a relaxed way to spend time on the water away from crowded tour boats.
Your group will meet at the marina in Can Pastilla before boarding the yacht and setting sail along the southern coastline of Mallorca. Once out in Palma Bay, the skipper plans the route around the weather and sea conditions, aiming for calmer anchor points and clear swimming areas. Popular locations may include Cala Blava, marine reserve sections, Illetes, and quieter stretches of coastline that are difficult to access from land.
With space for up to 12 guests, the yacht provides plenty of room for groups to relax between swimming stops and sailing sections. Some guests spend most of the trip sunbathing and enjoying the scenery, while others prefer entering the water regularly for swimming and snorkelling in sheltered coves.
The atmosphere remains informal throughout the charter, allowing the day to move naturally around the group’s pace. Sailing conditions often change across the bay during the trip, giving a mixture of calm cruising, open water sailing, and time anchored in quieter locations away from busy beaches.
Can Pastilla sits within the Bay of Palma on Mallorca’s south coast, close to Playa de Palma and only a short drive from Palma city centre. The marina location makes departures simple for guests staying in the nearby resort areas.
Palma Bay offers excellent conditions for coastal sailing, with clear water, protected anchor points, and views stretching across the coastline towards the city and surrounding hills. Much of the area is best explored by boat, especially the smaller coves and marine reserve sections further from shore.
No sailing experience is needed for this private group charter. The experience is suitable for mixed groups wanting a relaxed day on the water.
Guests should bring clothing suitable for warm weather and feel comfortable spending time aboard a sailing yacht during the trip.
The experience focuses on comfortable small-scale sailing rather than busy commercial tours with large passenger numbers. Private charters allow groups to enjoy the yacht at their own pace without fixed schedules or crowded decks.
Local sailing knowledge around Palma Bay helps the skipper choose quieter swimming areas and routes that suit the daily weather conditions while creating a more enjoyable experience overall.
The yacht can accommodate up to 12 guests for this private group sailing experience. This makes it suitable for larger families, celebrations, groups of friends, or small private events wanting exclusive use of the yacht.
Even with larger groups, there is still enough space on board to relax comfortably between sailing sections and swimming stops throughout the trip.
Yes, the yacht is reserved exclusively for your booking during the 3-hour charter. No outside guests join the experience, helping create a much more relaxed atmosphere compared with public tours.
Private use of the yacht also allows the group to enjoy a more flexible experience without following the rigid schedule often found on larger commercial excursions.
The skipper fee is added separately to the yacht charter price. This covers the experienced local sailor responsible for navigation, safety, and selecting the best route based on weather conditions around Palma Bay.
The skipper also helps the group discover quieter swimming areas and anchor points that are less crowded than the main tourist sections of coastline.
Routes vary according to sea and wind conditions, although trips often explore sections of coastline near Cala Blava, Illetes, marine reserve areas, and hidden coves along the Bay of Palma.
Because the route is flexible, the skipper can adjust plans during the trip if conditions improve in different parts of the bay throughout the day.
Guests are welcome to bring snacks, drinks, or light picnic food for the trip. Many groups choose to bring refreshments to enjoy while anchored in swimming areas during the charter.
Soft cool bags and smaller containers are easier to manage on board than larger luggage or hard coolers, particularly with bigger groups.
Safety always comes first, so the skipper closely monitors conditions before departure. If the sea becomes unsuitable for comfortable sailing, alternative arrangements or rescheduling options are usually discussed directly with the booking group.
Palma Bay offers several sheltered areas, allowing routes to remain flexible even when conditions change across different parts of the coastline.
The private setup works very well for birthdays, family gatherings, and relaxed group celebrations wanting a quieter atmosphere than busy beach clubs or large catamaran parties.
Guests often enjoy the combination of sailing, swimming, and spending uninterrupted time together while exploring the coastline around Palma Bay.
