Am I fit enough for gorge scrambling?

The walks to each venue are short and easy. Once in the gorge, we do move at a fairly steady pace (although it can feel quick). A good general level of fitness is recommended.

Where will the meeting point be?

This is flexible and will be to suit you. We often meet clients in Ambleside, or if you’re staying nearby we may arrange to meet at your accommodation.

Should we bring our own food and drinks?

Yes. Please bring at least one litre of water per person and a packed lunch & snacks. During the cooler months, you may wish to bring a flask of something hot: tea / coffee / hot chocolate / hot juice all work well.

What should I wear and bring with me?

We recommend the following packing list: A complete change of clothing Towel Pair of shorts (to wear over wetsuit) Swimwear (for under wetsuit) Waterproof jacket & over trousers Hat & gloves Warm clothing Walking boots / sturdy footwear / old trainers Packed lunch & snacks Water – at least 1 litre Backpack suitable for carrying the above kit Personal medication (if applicable) Camera
