Into the Abyss – Hodge Close, Coniston – Half-Day

Into the Abyss is a new adventure we are offering where you will experience everything Hodge Close Quarry has to offer.  Steep cliffs, deep deep water, jumps and climbs, and the incredible jump Into the Abyss!

What to Expect

You will get kitted up in wetsuits, buoyancy aids, helmets and harnesses, take a short walk down into the impressive and daunting Hodge Close Quarry.  You emerge into the open water filled pit with steep side walls.  The water is clear and still and you will take a dip to get used to the cold water.  A few jumps, a via-ferata style traverse, some scrambling and the jump into a black pool in the dark!

This is adventure, pure and simple.  You will get the adrenaline buzz and thrill that you hoped for and more!

No prior experience is needed.  Our expert guides ensure a safe and enjoyable experience, providing guidance every step of the way.

Children as young as 12 may be able to participate if accompanied by a participating parent/guardian. Customers should specifically request any child under the age of 14 and this will be subject to approval by Follow Your Path Adventures.
