🌄 What to Expect

Each day begins with easy access to the Portes du Soleil, one of Europe's largest linked ski areas, offering hundreds of kilometres of pistes suitable for every level of skier and snowboarder. Beginners can enjoy wide, confidence-building slopes while more experienced riders have plenty of opportunities to explore further across France and Switzerland.

The holiday has a relaxed format, allowing everyone to enjoy the mountain in their own way. You might spend the day skiing with new friends, split into smaller groups depending on ability or simply arrange to meet everyone for lunch before continuing independently. Your host is always happy to suggest routes, recommend quieter areas or point you towards the best conditions each day.

Evenings are equally enjoyable, whether that's returning to the chalet to relax in the hot tub or sauna, heading into Morzine for après-ski or enjoying dinner together before planning the following day's adventures.

📍 Location

Located in the centre of Morzine, Chalet Skade provides an excellent base for exploring the Portes du Soleil throughout the winter season. The Super Morzine lift is around a seven-minute walk away, while the Pleney lift and the town centre can also be reached on foot. A free village shuttle bus stops just outside the chalet, making it even easier to reach the lifts.

Morzine offers a fantastic balance of skiing, snowboarding and village life. Alongside its extensive lift network, you'll find traditional Alpine restaurants, lively bars, cafés, supermarkets and equipment hire shops, all contributing to one of the French Alps' most popular winter destinations.

🏡 Accommodation

Chalet Skade accommodates up to 13 guests across a selection of twin, double and triple rooms, creating a sociable atmosphere that's particularly popular with guests in their twenties and thirties. Shared living spaces make it easy to get to know everyone throughout the week while still providing plenty of room to unwind after skiing.

Facilities include an outdoor hot tub overlooking the valley, a sauna, pool table, darts, Wi-Fi, a log fire and spacious communal areas. The chalet has been designed to provide a comfortable place to relax after a full day on the mountain, whether you want a quiet evening or a chance to socialise with the rest of the group.

✅ Prerequisites

This holiday welcomes skiers and snowboarders of every ability, from complete beginners through to experienced riders. If you're learning for the first time, booking professional lessons is strongly recommended to help you build confidence safely and make the most of your week.

Although the chalet mainly attracts guests in their twenties and thirties, this is a recommendation rather than a strict rule. Guests aged 40 and over are encouraged to consider the alternative chalet, which has no preferred age range and may offer a better social fit.

❤️ Why Choose Us

A smaller group creates a much more personal atmosphere than many larger ski holidays. It becomes easy to find people skiing at a similar level, organise plans together or simply enjoy the flexibility of doing your own thing before catching up again later in the day.

Throughout the week, your live-in host helps everyone settle in, offers local recommendations and brings the group together without creating a rigid schedule. The result is a holiday where you can enjoy excellent skiing and snowboarding while naturally meeting new people along the way.
