Whether you've never set foot on a ski slope before or you're looking to build confidence after your first trip, this relaxed week in Morzine has been created specifically for beginners and improvers. Everyone joining the holiday is learning at a similar pace, creating a supportive environment where there's no pressure to keep up with more experienced skiers or snowboarders.
Everything you need to get started is included in the price. You'll receive six morning lessons with professional instructors, a local lift pass and ski or snowboard equipment hire, leaving you free to focus on enjoying your first days in the mountains. Afternoons can be spent practising your new skills, exploring the resort with new friends or simply relaxing back at the chalet.
Daniel created these holidays to give people a welcoming and sociable way to experience the mountains, regardless of their previous skiing or snowboarding experience. Many guests arrive on their own, while others travel with partners or friends, but everyone shares the same goal of learning, improving and having a great week together.
Live-in hosts are on hand throughout your stay, helping with everything from recommending suitable slopes after your lessons to organising relaxed evenings around Morzine. The combination of professional tuition and a friendly chalet atmosphere makes learning feel much less intimidating than joining a large resort-based course.
Your first morning lesson introduces the basics, including equipment, balance, stopping and turning. Professional instructors will guide the group through the foundations needed to build confidence safely on the snow.
The afternoon is free to continue practising what you've learned or relax back at the chalet after an exciting first session.
As your confidence grows, lessons continue with more controlled turns, improved technique and greater independence on suitable beginner slopes.
After lunch, you'll have the opportunity to put everything into practice while your hosts can recommend the best areas for your current ability.
By the middle of the week, most guests begin linking turns more comfortably and covering longer sections of piste.
Your instructor will continue helping you improve your technique while introducing new challenges at a pace suited to the group.
Morning lessons continue, giving you another opportunity to refine your skiing or snowboarding.
The afternoon can be spent exploring the beginner-friendly areas around Morzine or relaxing in the chalet's sauna after a day on the mountain.
The final morning lesson brings together everything you've learned throughout the week. By now you'll feel much more confident controlling your speed, linking turns and exploring the mountain.
Celebrate your progress with the rest of the group during your final evening together at the chalet.
Enjoy breakfast before checking out and beginning your journey home.
Lesson schedules may occasionally be adjusted due to weather or mountain conditions, but every effort will be made to provide the full programme wherever possible.
You'll stay in a comfortable chalet located right in the centre of Morzine, just a short walk from both of the town's main lifts. Its central location makes reaching your lessons each morning quick and straightforward while keeping restaurants, bars and shops close by for the evenings.
Inside, the chalet offers comfortable bedrooms, spacious communal areas and a welcoming atmosphere where guests can relax together after skiing. There's also a sauna, providing the perfect place to unwind after a day on the slopes before enjoying dinner with the rest of the group.
