Spend the evening on the water as the sun sets across Palma Bay, with views of the city skyline and Palma Cathedral from the sea. This small-group electric boat experience combines coastal cruising, swimming stops and relaxed sunset atmosphere without the noise of a traditional motorboat.
With paddle boards, snorkelling equipment and refreshments included, it’s an ideal way to enjoy Mallorca’s coastline during the cooler and calmer part of the day.
The experience begins from the Port of Palma in the early evening, just before the light starts to soften across the bay. After boarding the electric boat, you’ll cruise along the coastline while the city gradually transitions into sunset colours. With no loud engine noise, the atmosphere on board stays calm and relaxed, allowing you to enjoy the sea, skyline and changing light conditions around Palma.
As the boat moves through the bay, there may be opportunities to stop for swimming or use the paddle boards and snorkelling equipment in suitable conditions. Guests can also try the underwater sea scooter for a different way to explore the water during the calmer evening hours. The pace of the experience is designed to feel unhurried, making it suitable for couples, friends and small groups looking to spend quality time on the water.
One of the highlights of the route is the perspective of Palma Cathedral from the sea during sunset. As daylight fades, drinks and Mallorcan snacks are served on board while the skyline lights begin to appear along the waterfront. The combination of open water, evening temperatures and quiet electric cruising creates a very different atmosphere from daytime boat trips.
The experience departs from the Port of Palma, located on Mallorca’s south coast and easily accessible from Palma city centre and surrounding resort areas. The bay provides a broad stretch of coastline with sheltered water areas that are well suited to evening cruising and water activities.
Palma Bay is particularly well known for its sunset views back towards the city, especially around the Cathedral and marina areas. Evening conditions are often calmer during the summer months, helping create comfortable conditions for swimming, paddle boarding and relaxed cruising.
No previous boating or watersports experience is required to join this experience. Guests simply need to feel comfortable around water if planning to swim or use the included equipment during stops.
Participants should bring swimwear, towels and sunscreen. Evening temperatures can become cooler on the water outside peak summer months, so a light extra layer may also be useful after sunset.
Exploring Palma Bay by electric boat offers a quieter and lower-impact alternative to traditional sunset cruises. Without fuel engine noise or emissions, the experience feels more connected to the surrounding coastline and sea conditions, particularly during the calmer evening hours.
The focus is on creating a relaxed and personal atmosphere for small groups while encouraging responsible enjoyment of Mallorca’s marine environment. The combination of local knowledge, small group size and environmentally conscious boating creates a more comfortable and enjoyable way to experience the coastline at sunset.
The tour generally departs around 19:00, although the exact departure time changes throughout the year depending on the sunset time in Mallorca. Guests will receive confirmation of the exact meeting time before the experience date.
Starting later in the day allows the experience to take place during the golden hour and sunset period, when temperatures are often cooler and the light across Palma Bay changes significantly.
The boat accommodates a maximum of seven guests plus the skipper, helping maintain a quieter and more relaxed atmosphere on board. The smaller group size also provides more space for guests to move around comfortably during the trip.
This makes the experience well suited to couples, families, friend groups or travellers looking for a more personal alternative to larger commercial sunset cruises.
No. The boat uses an electric motor system, which operates much more quietly than a traditional fuel-powered engine. This significantly changes the atmosphere during the trip and allows guests to enjoy the sounds of the sea and coastline.
The quieter cruising is especially noticeable during sunset, when many guests are simply relaxing on board, enjoying the changing light and views back towards Palma.
Yes, swimming stops may be included depending on weather and sea conditions. The skipper will choose suitable locations within Palma Bay where guests can safely enter the water and use the equipment provided.
Evening conditions are often calmer during the summer season, which can make swimming and paddle boarding particularly enjoyable during sunset hours.
Yes, snorkelling equipment is included for all guests who would like to use it during swimming stops. The equipment is suitable for casual recreational use and no previous snorkelling experience is required.
The calm waters around sheltered parts of the bay often provide good conditions for relaxed surface snorkelling during the experience.
Water, soft drinks and light Mallorcan snacks are included on board. Typical snacks may include olives, crisps and other small refreshments suitable for an evening cruise.
The refreshments are intended as light snacks rather than a full dinner service. Guests wanting a larger meal should plan accordingly before or after the experience.
Yes, families are welcome, although minors must always remain supervised by an adult while on board and during water activities. Children who are comfortable around water generally enjoy the relaxed nature of the trip.
Parents should consider whether younger children are comfortable being on a boat during evening hours, particularly if they plan to stay out until after sunset.
Cloudy weather alone does not automatically cancel the experience. The trip will still operate provided conditions remain safe for navigation and activities within the bay.
If weather or sea conditions create safety concerns, an alternative date or refund option may be offered depending on circumstances and availability.
No experience is necessary. The included equipment is designed to be beginner friendly, and the skipper will explain how to safely use both the paddle boards and underwater scooter before entering the water.
Guests are free to participate as much or as little as they like. Some choose to stay active throughout the trip, while others prefer to relax and enjoy the cruise itself.
