Rome by E-Bike Guided Tour

Light rain doesn’t affect the running of the tour, so the activity goes ahead as planned. Participants are offered complimentary waterproof ponchos to keep them comfortable throughout, and the guide adjusts the pace if needed to suit the conditions. Many groups enjoy the experience just as much in gentle rain, especially with the extra layer provided.

More severe conditions, such as heavy rain or thunderstorms, mean the tour cannot run safely. If this happens, the session is cancelled and the full amount paid is refunded. Safety is the guiding factor in these decisions, and updates are passed on as early as possible so participants know exactly what to expect.

We welcome a wide range of ages on our e-bike tours, and the equipment provided is matched carefully to each rider. Younger children can join using either a rear baby seat for ages 1–5 (up to 20 kg) or a trailer bike for ages 6–9, both of which are securely attached to an adult’s e-bike. From age 10 onward, children may ride their own e-bike if they have solid independent cycling experience and are at least 140 cm tall, though we generally recommend independent riding from age 11.

There are also a few upper limits to keep everyone safe and comfortable. The maximum recommended age for participants is 75, and the weight limit for any rider or equipment setup is 100 kg. These guidelines help ensure each bike performs as intended and that every participant enjoys a smooth and controlled ride.

Our regular tours operate with a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 8 participants, which keeps each outing comfortable and well-paced. These small-group limits apply to standard daily departures, ensuring riders receive plenty of guidance and support from the team throughout the experience.

For larger parties, the capacity expands significantly. The centre is fully equipped to organise multiple groups at the same time and can handle single bookings far above the usual numbers, with the ability to accommodate up to 80 participants in one coordinated session. This structure allows big groups to enjoy the same quality of service while moving through the route smoothly and safely.

The tour lasts approximately four hours and covers about 15 km through central Rome. You will pass major landmarks, hidden gems, and riverside paths, travelling mostly on asphalt streets with minimal traffic.

Itineraries are designed for ease and comfort, with suggested stops for photos and refreshments. Private tours can adjust the route to focus on your interests or explore areas in more detail.

Yes, infants up to 20 kg can ride in child seats, and children up to 139 cm join with extensions. Kids aged 12 and older may ride their own e-bike. Families can enjoy a safe, shared experience with guidance from the local expert.

Stops and scenic points along the route allow breaks for younger riders, while small group sizes make it manageable for everyone.

Riders should have basic experience handling a bicycle. Guides provide instruction and support throughout the tour, and they reserve the right to restrict participation if safety or fitness concerns arise.

Extensions and child seats allow less experienced riders to join safely, while e-bikes make longer distances and hills easier to manage.

Yes, booking a private tour ensures an exclusive guide and a tailored route. You can adjust pace, select stops, or explore hidden corners that interest you most.

This option is ideal for families, couples, or groups wanting a more personalised and immersive experience.

Yes, routes prioritise quieter streets and cycle paths wherever possible. Expert guides accompany the group at all times, monitoring safety and providing instructions for navigating traffic.

The combination of small group size, e-bike assistance, and careful route planning ensures riders can relax and enjoy the city confidently.
