🧭 What to Expect

You’ll begin with a warm-up on the beach, familiarising yourself with bodyboarding terminology, techniques, and equipment. Instructors provide demonstrations on paddling, trimming, and selecting suitable waves, helping you build confidence before entering the water. Safety briefings and hazard awareness are integrated throughout to ensure a secure environment.

Heading into the water, beginners can expect to catch their first white-water wave within minutes, while improvers will receive personalised tips to refine their technique. The lower centre of gravity offered by bodyboards makes manoeuvring easier, allowing faster progression and less fatigue than traditional surfboards. Instructors guide each participant through step-by-step skills, from white-water waves to unbroken green waves as abilities develop.

Equipment is provided for all participants, including wetsuits, bodyboards, fins, and ID vests. Heated changing rooms, hot outdoor showers, and secure storage are available, allowing you to prepare comfortably before hitting either Fistral or Towan Beach. Conditions are assessed daily, and sessions are tailored to suit both the group’s skill level and the ocean environment.
