🌄 What to Expect

Every day begins from the centre of Morzine, giving you quick access to the enormous Portes du Soleil ski area. With hundreds of kilometres of pistes linking France and Switzerland, there's terrain suitable for complete beginners through to experienced skiers and snowboarders. You can spend the day exploring independently, join others with a similar ability or simply meet the group for lunch before heading off again.

The relaxed atmosphere means there is never any pressure to stick to a timetable. Some guests enjoy skiing together from first lift until the afternoon, while others prefer a slower start or a few café stops during the day. Your live-in host is always happy to recommend the best areas based on the weather, snow conditions and your experience level.

Evenings are just as sociable as the days on the mountain. After returning to the chalet, guests often enjoy dinner together before heading into Morzine to experience its lively après-ski, local restaurants and bars, or simply spending a quieter evening relaxing in the chalet.

📍 Location

Morzine is one of the best-known resorts in the French Alps and forms part of the vast Portes du Soleil ski area, one of the largest linked ski regions in Europe. Its excellent lift network provides access to an enormous variety of pistes, making it equally appealing to beginners taking their first turns and experienced riders looking to cover as much ground as possible.

Away from the slopes, the town offers a lively mix of cafés, traditional Alpine restaurants, shops and après-ski venues. Everything is easily accessible on foot, allowing you to enjoy both the skiing and the town without needing additional transport throughout the week.

🏡 Accommodation

Your home for the week is Chalet Hubert, situated in the centre of Morzine approximately 30 seconds from the Super Morzine lift and around two minutes from the Pleney lift. Its central position makes getting onto the mountain quick and convenient while keeping the town's restaurants, shops and nightlife within easy walking distance.

The chalet was newly built for the 2018/19 winter season and features six comfortable en-suite twin or double bedrooms. Underfloor heating, a large fireplace, internet TV and welcoming communal spaces create a comfortable environment where guests can relax together after a day on the slopes.

✅ Prerequisites

This holiday welcomes skiers and snowboarders of all abilities, from complete beginners through to experienced riders. If you're new to skiing or snowboarding, professional lessons are strongly recommended to help you build confidence safely while making the most of your week in the mountains.

Guests should have appropriate winter clothing and suitable travel insurance covering winter sports. If you're bringing your own equipment, it's worth ensuring everything has been serviced before travelling, while hire is also available locally if required.

❤️ Why Choose Us

Sharing a chalet with a small group creates an enjoyable balance between organised support and complete independence. You can spend the week exploring with others, head off to discover the mountain at your own pace or simply join everyone again during lunch or the evening without feeling tied to a fixed schedule.

Having a live-in host throughout the holiday also means there's always someone available to recommend runs, answer questions about the resort and help bring the group together. Many guests arrive without knowing anyone else and leave having made new friends both on and off the mountain.
