Ride through open plains, rugged tracks, and wildlife zones on a guided quad session inside one of Mauritius’ best-known inland nature parks. With single or double quads and a choice of one or two hours, this experience lets you choose how long and how you ride.
The session starts with a safety briefing covering quad controls, braking, throttle use, and riding rules within the park. Helmets and safety equipment are fitted, and you’ll have time to familiarise yourself with the quad before entering the trail network. Guides assess rider confidence before setting the pace.
The route takes you through a mix of wide open tracks and more uneven terrain, with frequent changes in surface that keep the ride engaging without becoming overly technical. Depending on the option chosen, you’ll ride either solo with full control of your quad or share a double quad with a partner. Wildlife areas are passed at controlled speeds, and animals may be visible from the trails.
For the two-hour options, the ride extends deeper into the park, covering more ground and allowing for a steadier rhythm with short breaks built in. Stops are used for regrouping, photos, and brief explanations before completing the loop back to the start.
The activity takes place inside a large nature park near Cascavelle on the west coast of Mauritius. The setting combines open plains, rolling terrain, and managed wildlife areas, offering a very different riding environment from coastal locations.
The park is easily accessible by road and has on-site parking and visitor facilities. Its inland position provides wide views and longer riding corridors, making it well suited to quad biking.
No previous quad biking experience is required, but riders must be confident controlling a motorised vehicle. For double quads, one rider drives while the passenger rides behind, with swapping subject to guide approval and local rules.
Closed-toe shoes are mandatory, and clothing should be suitable for dust and uneven ground. All participants must follow guide instructions at all times.
This experience offers flexible formats in one location, allowing you to choose between solo or shared riding and between a shorter or longer session. The varied terrain and open layout make it suitable for both first-time riders and those wanting more time on the quad.
Guides lead every session with a focus on safety, clear communication, and controlled access to wildlife areas. Entrance to the park is included, keeping logistics simple on arrival.
Single quads are ridden by one person, giving full control of the vehicle. Double quads are shared by two people, with one driving and one riding as a passenger.
Double quads are ideal for couples or those wanting to share the experience rather than ride solo.
The 1-hour ride covers the core trail network and is ideal for a shorter introduction to quad biking. The 2-hour ride goes further into the park and allows more time on the quad.
Longer rides include short breaks and a steadier pace to manage fatigue.
No prior experience is required. A full safety briefing and familiarisation period are included before riding.
Guides manage pacing to suit mixed experience levels.
The route passes through areas where animals may be visible from the trails, depending on movement and time of day.
Riders do not approach animals directly, and all riding stays within designated paths.
