This one-hour zip line session combines a long, continuous 400-metre line with a follow-on circuit of four shorter zips. It’s designed to give a clear progression from a single extended glide into a varied multi-line route, all set above the open valleys and treetops of Casela Nature Park.
The activity begins with a safety briefing covering harness fitting, attachment systems, landing posture, and spacing between riders. Instructors fit helmets and harnesses and carry out checks before escorting the group to the first launch platform.
The experience starts with the 400-metre zip line, which offers a long, uninterrupted glide across open terrain. This line focuses on sustained movement rather than repeated starts and stops, giving time to settle into the ride and take in views across the park’s valleys and vegetation.
After completing the long line, the route transitions into a sequence of four additional zip lines. These vary in length and speed, adding variety and keeping the session engaging. Short walks between platforms are managed by instructors, who control each launch and landing before the final line brings you back to ground level.
The zip lines are located inside Casela Nature Park near Cascavelle on the west coast of Mauritius. The park’s open layout, elevation changes, and forested sections make it well suited to longer lines and multi-zip circuits.
The park is accessible by road and offers on-site parking and visitor facilities. As an inland location, conditions can differ from the coast, with wind and sun exposure varying during the day.
No previous zip lining experience is required, as all participants receive full instruction and supervision. Riders must be comfortable with heights and able to follow safety instructions throughout the activity.
Minimum age, height, and weight limits apply and are enforced on site. Closed-toe shoes are mandatory, and loose items must be secured before starting.
This route combines one long, open zip with a shorter multi-line circuit, making it more varied than a single-line experience while remaining accessible to first-time participants. It’s a good balance for those who want one extended glide without committing to a larger multi-hour course.
Experienced instructors manage every stage of the activity, from equipment checks to platform control. Entrance to the park is included, keeping the experience straightforward once you arrive.
The 400m line is a single, long glide designed to give sustained time in the air rather than a short burst. It’s usually the longest line in this circuit.
The remaining four lines add variety through different lengths and speeds.
Yes, this course is suitable for first-time zip line users. The progression from one long line to shorter zips helps participants build confidence naturally.
