Absolutely brilliant experience, would highly recommend to everyone!

A full day on the water follows the English Riviera UNESCO Global Geopark from Oddicombe toward caves, stacks and quieter coves, with a beach stop for lunch and time to look at the rock. The pace stays guided rather than a race, so mixed groups can share the same loop. Seals and seabirds use this coast, and we watch from the boats.
Check in on the sand, get kit fitted, and hear how the day will run. The morning is usually a coastal paddle toward caves and quieter water, then a landing for lunch and a look at the geology. After the stop, the group paddles a return loop suited to tide and how people are moving.
Typical days start mid-morning and finish in the late afternoon. Pack a packed lunch and plenty of water. We confirm the launch and clock time when we approve your date, and we may move the start for tide or beach operations.
Oddicombe sits on Babbacombe Bay, a sheltered cove with Blue Flag water and a sand launch that suits a full day. South-westerly wind is blocked here, so the first hours often stay kinder than more open Torbay beaches.
Routes may reach further along the Geopark when the group and the forecast allow. If Oddicombe is awkward we move to Meadfoot, Paignton or Brixham and send the pin before you travel. Changing rooms and lockers are at the base when we operate from Oddicombe.
A full day on the water asks for a bit more stamina than a short taster. No previous kayaking is required, but you should be happy sitting in a boat for several hours, getting wet, and following a brief. Children from 8 can join when they fit a buoyancy aid, with an adult in the group.
Bring a packed lunch, at least a litre of water, and layers for sitting on the beach. Mention confidence or mobility notes when you request a date so we can plan pairings and craft.
Guides on this safari talk through the geology and the wildlife as you paddle, then stop on a usable beach rather than eating in the boats. The day is built around caves and coves, not a long crossing for its own sake.
Technical clothing is fitted before you launch, and the group stays together at a pace the slowest boat can hold. Mixed families and first-timers who want a longer look at the Geopark share the same outing.
We confirm the launch when we approve your date. That is usually Oddicombe Beach, Beach Road, Torquay, TQ1 3LB. There is no parking on the sand. Use the cliff railway from Babbacombe Downs or walk the path down.
If we move the group to Meadfoot, Paignton or Brixham, the pin comes in the same message. Please arrive a few minutes early so kit and the brief stay on schedule.
About seven hours from check-in through to packing kit away, including a beach lunch stop. Typical days start mid-morning and finish in the late afternoon.
The exact loop depends on wind, tide and how the group is paddling. We keep time for caves and a shore stop rather than racing a long headland.
No previous course is required, though a full day asks for more stamina than a short taster. The guide coaches a forward stroke and how to stay with the group before you leave the bay.
Say if anyone is nervous so we can pair them in a tandem and keep the first hour kinder.
Eight, when the child fits a buoyancy aid. Anyone under 18 paddles with a responsible adult. Younger or less confident paddlers often share a tandem.
Tell us ages when you request a date. The route stays with the slowest boat so mixed families can stay together.
Usually Oddicombe Beach, Beach Road, Torquay, TQ1 3LB. Walk down to the watersports desk beside the slipway. There is no parking on the sand.
If the forecast favours Meadfoot, Paignton or Brixham we send that pin before you travel. Check your messages the evening before.
A guide, a kayak, paddle, buoyancy aid and technical clothing for the day, plus time on the water and a beach lunch stop.
Bring your own packed lunch and water. Transport to the launch is not included, and parking near the downs is not part of the outing.
A packed lunch, at least a litre of water, swimwear or quick-dry clothes, a towel, old or wet shoes, sun cream and a hat.
A spare layer helps at the lunch stop even on a warm day. Leave valuables in the car unless you have a case you are happy to take on the water.
Seals and seabirds use this coast, and we watch from the boats. Inter-tidal life shows at a beach stop when the tide allows.
We never promise a sighting. The cave line and the Geopark rock are the sure part of the day; animals come when they come.
No. Pack your own lunch and plenty of water. The stop is time on a usable beach, not a catering service.
We choose the landing for shelter and tide. Bring extra snacks if you get hungry between the morning paddle and the return loop.
We move the launch or shorten the loop if wind or swell makes the planned caves unsafe. Rain alone does not stop the day.
We contact you as early as we can if the plan has to change. The goal is a useful day on the Geopark, not a fight with the sea state.
Up to twelve paddlers, with a guide on the water throughout. Smaller private groups use the options shown when you request a date.
Tell us your headcount in advance so we have the right boats on the sand. Extra people cannot just join on the day.

Absolutely brilliant experience, would highly recommend to everyone!
Kieran was an organised, pleasant, knowledgeable and interesting tour guide. Also clearly, a very good kayaka. The only critique would be the size of the group. It was just too long to get everyone geared up and at the cave for all kayaks to go into and out. Otherwise a…
Great, good local knowledge, friendly instructor. Lots of wildlife and little adventures had. Recommend.
Amazing experience, would highly recommend to anyone!
Jose was very friendly and helpful! The bikes he provided were great for the price, and we enjoyed a unique gravel bike adventure in Spain. There were very few other companies offering gravel bike rentals. I would 100% recommend this adventure with Jose to any travelers in Spain looking to…
It was really enjoyable. I had never done kayaking before but after some short, simple clear instruction I was confidently making it way along the coastline. It was great to see things from the water you would've otherwise have been able to get a view of. I would definitely do…
Excellent day out with super efficient Kieran and Sam. Even a novice like me finally cracked the code to a good kayaking. The caves, guided tour on geological formations punctuated by marshmallow roasting and fossil hunting truly enhanced the overall experience. Would love to do it again. Plus - a…
