Your own guide sets the pace from Mousehole harbour, so a family with six-year-olds and a group who want the higher jumps can still share one booking. The session is about three hours including changing, with around two hours in the water. Jumps stay optional, photos are included, and the route can move if the harbour swell is not safe.
Meet at South Quay, kit up, then tell the guide what you want: a gentle explore, a few jumps, or a mix. The brief is short. The rest is on the rocks and in the water. Nothing is mandatory, so a cautious child can swim around a ledge while someone else takes the higher step.
Please arrive 15 minutes early. Trainers or thick-soled wetsuit boots are required. Shorts over the suit protect it. If Mousehole is not safe we move to a nearby coast and message you. The guide shares photos afterwards.
Mousehole sits a short drive from Penzance. The meeting point is South Quay Car Park, The Wharf, TR19 6RT. Toilets and cafes are in the village.
If the harbour coast is not usable we pick a nearby route and send directions. Parking is in the quay car park. Leave valuables in the car.
You need to be a confident swimmer. The minimum age is six. Under-18s can join without a parent in the water if a consent form is signed, though most families come together.
Bring swimwear, lace-up trainers or wetsuit boots, shorts over the suit, a towel and any medication. Glasses and jewellery stay off. Contact lenses or prescription goggles are fine.
An AALA-licensed team has run this coast for more than 20 years. Guides are lifeguards as well as leaders, and a private booking means the route and the pace stay with your group.
Children from six can join, jumps stay optional, and photos come with the session. If you are happy sharing the route with other bookers, the open group at Mousehole is the cheaper option.
Meet at South Quay Car Park, The Wharf, Mousehole, TR19 6RT. From Penzance follow signs for Mousehole and park on the quay.
Please arrive 15 minutes early. We message you if the route has to move.
The guide is yours. The route and the pace follow your group, which helps families with younger children and people who want more or fewer jumps. The minimum age drops to six.
The kit, the photos and the three-hour shape are the same. If you are happy joining other bookers and everyone is 10 or over, the open group is the cheaper option.
From two people up to 16. Tell us the headcount and ages when you book so we can put the right number of guides on the rocks.
The booking starts at two because a private session is priced from that minimum. A solo booker should use the open group instead.
Six. We check ages before the session. Under-18s can join without a parent in the water if a consent form is signed, though most families come together.
The route stays with the youngest or least confident person. That is how a mixed family still shares one booking.
No. Every jump is optional. Ledges usually have a low, mid and higher choice, and you can swim around anything you do not want to do.
The guide talks through each feature first. A private booking makes it easier to skip a lot of jumping without holding up an open group.
Lace-up trainers or thick-soled wetsuit boots. Flip-flops, sandals and thin beach shoes are not accepted. Without proper shoes we cannot take you, and we cannot refund that.
Old trainers you do not mind getting wet are the simplest option. If you are unsure whether your shoes will pass, bring an old pair of lace-up trainers as well.
South Quay Car Park, The Wharf, Mousehole, TR19 6RT. Kit up there, then walk to the start. Toilets and cafes sit in the village.
If the harbour coast is not safe we send a new meeting point. Check your messages the day before.
You need to be a confident swimmer in open water. A buoyancy aid is on the whole time, but you still swim between features.
If someone in the group is nervous, say so when you book. We will keep that person on easier ground and shorter swims.
Rain does not cancel a session. We move or cancel when the swell or wind makes the coast unsafe. A nearby route is the first option.
If we cancel, we rearrange. Message us the day before if you are travelling a long way. If you are driving a long way, check your messages the evening before so you are not on the road before we have confirmed the plan.
No. Glasses and jewellery stay off. Contact lenses or prescription goggles are fine. Leave valuables in the car.
The guide can hold medication in a dry bag if you need it on the route. If you need to see clearly, contact lenses or prescription goggles are the workable options.
Yes. The guide carries a waterproof camera and shares the pictures with your group afterwards. You do not need a phone on the rocks.
We cannot promise a shot of every jump. The priority is the route and the people in it. Ask the guide at the end how the pictures will be sent, as that can change with the size of the group.

I was impressed that Steve contacted me to ask if my adolescents would like a more adventurous experience and tailored the coasteering to them. They all had a great time - came back exhilarated and exhausted. Thanks also for taking some great photos
Chris and Chloe were great guides and coaches, and provided us a wonderfull experience.
We had the best time! There 5 in our group today and Ru was the best guide. He made sure everyone was safe, comfortable with the level of challenge and knowledgeable about the area, flora, and fauna. The views from the cliffs and water were absolutely stunning! I’m so glad…
