New divers can experience the excitement of scuba in a safe and playful way through this structured introductory programme. The PADI Seal Team course focuses on hands-on learning, encouraging curiosity and confidence as participants complete a series of underwater “missions.” It’s designed to make each session fun, supportive, and educational, helping participants build lasting skills while exploring the underwater world.
Each session starts with an engaging briefing where instructors introduce scuba fundamentals, explain how the equipment works, and cover essential safety procedures. Children have the chance to ask questions and familiarise themselves with the kit, helping build confidence before entering the water.
In the pool, participants take part in structured “Aquamissions” designed to teach skills while keeping the experience fun. Activities include buoyancy practice, navigating obstacle courses, hovering in place, and teamwork exercises. Sessions gradually increase in complexity, encouraging steady improvement in underwater movement, air control, and communication using hand signals.
Instructors provide close guidance throughout, ensuring every participant feels safe and supported. Over time, children gain confidence, coordination, and familiarity with diving equipment. The course concludes with PADI Seal Team recognition materials, celebrating progress and encouraging future diving adventures through the Master Seal Team or Open Water Diver courses.
Littlehampton Marina offers a secure and fully equipped environment ideal for young divers. Its pool facilities provide safe, controlled conditions where children can learn and practice new skills under close supervision.

Participants must be at least 8 years old and able to swim or float comfortably. They should feel confident in the water, as activities focus on building skills and confidence through supervised practice.
A medical questionnaire must be completed by the child or guardian to ensure fitness for diving. Any health concerns should be discussed with a qualified professional before attending. Parental consent is required for all participants under 18.
