Begin your day with calm and focus on the beach, flowing through a gentle Yoga session before stepping onto a paddleboard to glide along the water. This combination session balances mindfulness and light activity, helping you feel refreshed, centred, and connected to your surroundings. Spend time on the sand and water, soaking in the peaceful coastal environment.
Your session starts on the sand with a guided Yoga flow designed to relax muscles, improve balance, and focus your mind. The instructor will take you through slow, mindful movements that help release tension and prepare your body for the paddleboarding element.
After Yoga, you’ll be fitted with your paddleboarding gear and join a guided session on the water. Move at your own pace along the coastline and harbour, enjoying gentle paddling while taking in the views, fresh sea air, and local wildlife. Guidance is provided throughout, helping you feel comfortable on the board even if it’s your first time.
You can choose to focus on light exercise, stretching, or simply enjoying the movement of the water beneath your board. The combination of Yoga and SUP gives you both mental calm and physical engagement, ending your session feeling refreshed and energised.
Broughty Ferry is a coastal gem near Dundee, featuring a calm stretch of beach and sheltered harbour ideal for Yoga and paddleboarding. You’ll start your session on the sand, with easy access to the water for a smooth transition onto your paddleboard.
The local area also provides space to pause, take photos, and enjoy the surrounding views. Wildlife such as seabirds, swans, and harbour activity adds to the sensory experience, making it a peaceful and engaging location for all ages and abilities.
No previous Yoga or paddleboarding experience is required, though the session is suited to those aged 12 and over who can move comfortably on a board for short periods.
Private sessions are available if you want a quieter experience or more individual attention. This allows you to focus on your own pace, whether you are trying new poses, improving balance, or simply relaxing on the water.
The session is led by professional instructors who are experienced in both Yoga and paddleboarding, offering guidance, support, and encouragement throughout. They ensure your time is safe, enjoyable, and adapted to your level of comfort.
Combining Yoga and SUP in one session creates a unique way to enjoy Broughty Ferry Beach. You’ll leave feeling calmer, more energised, and connected to your surroundings while having fun with a small group that makes the experience social yet personalised.
You’ll need to come prepared for time on the water, so make sure to bring essentials that keep you comfortable before, during, and after your session. A towel and a full change of clothes are recommended in case you get wet, along with swimwear or trunks to wear under a wetsuit. It’s also a good idea to wear shoes that can get wet or bring a spare pair for afterwards.
Snacks and drinks will help keep your energy up, especially on longer sessions. If you take any medication, please ensure you have it with you on the day. And, most importantly, bring a sense of adventure and a willingness to have fun—this makes all the difference on the water.
These activities are open to participants aged 12 and above. This ensures everyone taking part can safely handle the equipment and enjoy the experience. The sessions are designed to be inclusive and family-friendly while still maintaining the right level of supervision and safety for younger participants.
Anyone under 18 must have a parent or guardian either on the water with them or nearby at the viewing point for the duration of the session. This policy may vary slightly depending on the specific activity or location, but safety and supervision are always the top priority.
All sessions depend on the weather and water conditions to make sure they’re safe and fun for everyone involved. In the case of strong winds, heavy rain, or unsafe water levels, sessions may need to be postponed or moved to a more sheltered location. The decision will always be made with your safety in mind.
If a session has to be rescheduled or relocated, you’ll be contacted in advance with as much notice as possible. The team keeps a close eye on forecasts and conditions, and any changes will be clearly communicated so that you can plan your day with confidence.
This session is designed for complete beginners. The Yoga flow is gentle, focusing on stretching and balance rather than complex poses. On the paddleboard, your guide provides step-by-step instructions to help you get comfortable, making it easy to enjoy the experience even if it’s your first time.
You’ll be supported throughout, and the pace can be adjusted depending on your confidence on the board. Even if you’ve never done Yoga or SUP before, the combination of land and water activities ensures a relaxed and accessible experience.
Once you’re on the water, you’ll move along calm stretches of beach and harbour, practising gentle strokes and balance. The guide will provide tips for stability, steering, and smooth paddling while keeping a safe distance.
You’ll also have moments to stop, look around, and enjoy the views or take photos. The focus is on flowing with the water, finding rhythm, and feeling comfortable rather than fast-paced activity.
No prior flexibility is required. The Yoga session is low-impact and designed to stretch muscles gently, improve posture, and encourage mindfulness. Modifications are offered for every move, ensuring you can participate comfortably.
If you have specific limitations, your instructor can adapt poses so that you can fully enjoy the session without strain or discomfort.
Absolutely. Your guide will encourage you to capture memories at scenic points along the beach and on the water. Free photos of your session are also provided afterward via email.
You can bring your own waterproof camera or phone if you like, but the provided photos ensure you have high-quality images of your experience without worrying about carrying equipment on the board.
