Session Breakdown

Each session starts on land with an introduction to the equipment and essential techniques. You’ll learn how to get onto the board safely, stand up, hold the sail, and turn the board around. This land-based practice ensures you’re comfortable before heading onto the water.

Once on the water, the focus will be on sailing across the wind from a starting point, turning efficiently, and returning to the original position. Depending on how the group progresses, additional techniques such as steering and upwind sailing may be introduced. The session is structured to ensure each participant builds confidence at their own pace, with an instructor guiding you every step of the way.

The half-day session provides a solid foundation in the basics of windsurfing, while the full-day experience allows for more in-depth tuition, extended time on the water, and the opportunity to refine skills further. At the end of your session, your instructor will provide recommendations on the next steps, including progression sessions and clubs to continue developing your windsurfing skills.
