Enjoy a relaxing and fun experience on the water with stand-up paddleboarding at Loch Earn. Whether you’re new to the sport or looking to brush up on your skills, this activity is perfect for all levels. Paddle across the calm waters while taking in the views of the Highland scenery and keeping an eye out for wildlife.
Upon arrival, you’ll meet your instructor at Loch Earn and get fitted with your paddleboard, paddle, and buoyancy aid. After a brief safety introduction, your instructor will teach you how to balance on the board and use the paddle effectively. The session will focus on simple paddling techniques, with plenty of opportunity to improve your skills and gain confidence on the water.
As you paddle around the loch, your instructor will be there to offer guidance and answer any questions. You’ll have the freedom to explore at your own pace, whether that means enjoying the view or spotting wildlife along the shoreline. The calm waters make it a perfect environment for beginners, and experienced paddlers will find plenty of space to practise.
Loch Earn is located in the Scottish Highlands, easily accessible by car. The loch offers a peaceful and beautiful environment for outdoor activities.
With sweeping views of the surrounding mountains and peaceful waters, it’s the perfect location to connect with nature and enjoy a day on the water.
There are no specific prerequisites for this activity, making it suitable for beginners and those with some experience. Participants should be comfortable in and around water.
The session is suitable for people of all fitness levels, but a basic level of physical ability is needed to balance on the board and paddle effectively.
Our experienced instructors provide a personalised approach, ensuring that everyone feels comfortable and confident during the session. Whether you are learning the basics or refining your technique, they are there to support you, offering helpful tips along the way.
Loch Earn offers the ideal setting for stand-up paddleboarding, with its calm waters and scenic views of the surrounding landscape. The relaxed atmosphere and small group sizes ensure a more intimate and enjoyable experience for all participants.
The minimum age for this activity is 7 years old. Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
The activity is suitable for people of all ages, provided they are comfortable around water.
No prior experience is required. This activity is designed for both beginners and those with some paddleboarding experience.
Your instructor will provide all the guidance you need, from learning how to balance on the board to refining your paddling technique.
You should bring swimwear or comfortable, quick-drying clothing, a towel, and a change of clothes for after the activity.
Waterproof footwear that can get wet is essential. If it’s sunny, don’t forget sunscreen, a hat, and sunglasses. It’s also a good idea to bring a water bottle and light snacks for energy.
The activity may be postponed if the weather conditions are unsafe, such as high winds or heavy rain.
In the event of cancellation due to weather, we will contact you in advance to reschedule or offer a refund.
Personal wetsuits are not provided as part of the activity.
However, rentals may be available if you prefer to wear one. Please inquire before your session to ensure availability.
A general level of fitness is recommended, as paddleboarding involves balancing on the board and paddling, which requires core strength and stamina.
However, the activity is accessible to most people, and your instructor will provide tips to help you manage the physical demands.
