Canoeing on Loch Earn offers a relaxing opportunity to explore the loch's peaceful waters while taking in panoramic views of the Scottish Highlands. Whether you are a beginner or have some paddling experience, this fun session with qualified instructors will ensure you have a great time.
Your session begins with a brief safety orientation, where you’ll be introduced to your canoe and the basic paddling techniques. Once you’re equipped and ready, you’ll start paddling on Loch Earn, gliding through the calm waters and taking in the expansive views of the surrounding landscape. Your instructor will offer guidance, ensuring you learn the proper techniques and feel confident on the water.
Throughout the session, you’ll have time to relax, enjoy the scenery, and gain some new skills. The session will end with a cool-down by the loch, where your instructor will recap the experience and answer any questions you may have. Whether you’re here to enjoy the calm waters or to practice paddling skills, you’ll leave with great memories of the day.

The loch is easily accessible and is a popular spot for outdoor activities. The calm waters make it an ideal location for canoeing, with beautiful views of the mountains that surround the loch.
No prior canoeing experience is required for this session, and participants of all skill levels are welcome. It is important to be comfortable with being on the water.
A reasonable level of fitness is needed, but the pace of the session is relaxed and designed for all abilities. Children aged 5+ can join, but they must be accompanied by an adult.

Safety is a top priority, and each session includes a thorough safety briefing, along with constant support from instructors during the activity. With a focus on having fun while learning, this is a great opportunity to enjoy the outdoors in a relaxed and welcoming environment.
For the canoeing session, it’s recommended to wear comfortable, quick-drying clothing suitable for water activities. Waterproof footwear is essential, as your feet will likely get wet during the activity. You should also bring a towel and a change of clothes for after the session.
If it's sunny, consider bringing sunscreen, a hat, and sunglasses. A water bottle and light snacks are also recommended to stay hydrated throughout the session.
No previous canoeing experience is necessary for this session. It’s suitable for all skill levels, from beginners to those with some paddling experience.
The qualified instructors will provide clear guidance and ensure that you are comfortable and confident on the water. You'll also receive a safety briefing before getting into the canoe.
The activity is open to individuals aged 5 and older. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
If you’re bringing a child, they’ll need to be in the same canoe as an adult or with a responsible guardian in their own canoe, depending on availability and specific needs.
The session will proceed unless there are severe weather conditions that could compromise safety.
If the weather forecast suggests dangerous conditions, such as high winds or thunderstorms, the activity may be rescheduled or cancelled. If this happens, you’ll be offered an alternative date or a refund.
Personal waterproof clothing or wetsuits are not included but may be available for rent.
You can check availability with the activity provider beforehand to ensure you have the proper gear, though it's not required for most sessions unless the weather is particularly cold.
