Our advanced diving course is perfect for those looking to deepen their underwater exploration skills and experience the excitement of deeper dive sites. With the SSI Deep Diving Specialty, you will gain the knowledge and techniques needed to dive safely to depths between 18 and 40 metres, enabling you to unlock a world of amazing dive sites. Through a combination of theoretical lessons and practical open water dives, you'll be equipped with the essential tools to navigate the deeper parts of the ocean.
The SSI Deep Diving Specialty course is structured to ensure you feel confident and prepared for your deep dives. The course begins with five academic sessions where you will cover the fundamentals of deep diving, including dive planning, safety protocols, and the effects of depth on the body. You will also learn how to use dive computers and gas consumption calculations to get the most out of your dives.
After the theoretical lessons, you will participate in three open water sessions, where you will apply the knowledge gained in real dive conditions. During these sessions, you’ll explore deeper dive sites, practice essential skills such as navigation, and develop confidence in managing your dive plan while going to depths of up to 40 metres. Upon successful completion of both the academic and practical components, you will earn your SSI Deep Diving Specialty certification, which will open up a world of deeper diving possibilities.
