The RYA Powerboat Level 2 course is designed to provide you with essential boat handling skills and the knowledge needed to become a competent powerboat driver. Over two consecutive days, you'll cover launching and recovery, boat handling, boat maintenance, and emergency procedures following the RYA syllabus. This course is suitable for individuals aged 16 and above.

No, it is not mandatory to complete the RYA Powerboat Level 1 course before taking the Level 2 course. RYA Powerboat Level 2 is designed to be accessible for complete beginners, as well as those with some prior experience. However, taking the Level 1 course first can be beneficial for those who prefer a more gradual introduction to powerboating. Level 1 covers the basics and can help build your confidence before advancing to Level 2.
The course runs for two consecutive days, from 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM each day. This provides approximately 16 hours of instruction and practical experience.
Yes, upon successful completion of the course, you will receive an RYA Powerboat Level 2 certificate recognising your ability to handle a powerboat confidently, including launching, recovery, and performing essential maneuvers.
