See a different side of Cornwall with a private sea kayaking session, tailored just for your group. With your own guide and a flexible route planned around the weather and tides, you’ll have the space to enjoy the coastline in your own time. It’s a great way to try something new, build confidence on the water, and share the experience with friends or family.
Your session begins with a friendly briefing and short coaching session in the sheltered water near the launch site. This is your chance to get to grips with the equipment and pick up a few simple paddling techniques. The guide will take the time to make sure everyone is comfortable, regardless of previous experience. From there, you’ll head out as a group on a route chosen specifically for your group, based on the conditions and the kind of experience you're after—whether that’s a relaxed paddle or something a bit more adventurous.
During the tour, you’ll explore parts of the coastline that are only accessible by water. You could be weaving between cliffs, paddling into sea caves, drifting through gullies, or spotting wildlife like seals and seabirds. Because the session is private, the pace is entirely up to you. There’ll be chances to ask questions, stop for photos, and enjoy the surroundings without rushing. Your guide will keep the session safe and engaging throughout, sharing local knowledge along the way. Complimentary photography is included, so you’ll receive photos of your group after the session at no extra cost.
Sessions run from either Mullion Cove or Cadgwith, both located on the Lizard Peninsula. These two launch points give access to some of the best sea kayaking routes in the area, including hidden coves, caves and quiet stretches of open water.
The specific location is chosen the day before to ensure the safest and most enjoyable experience, based on sea state, tide and weather conditions. This flexible approach means you’ll always be kayaking in the most suitable spot for your group.
This session is suitable for all levels, from total beginners to those with previous paddling experience. You don’t need to have done any kayaking before—your guide will teach you everything you need on the day.
Participants should be confident in the water and able to follow instructions. Children under 12 must share a double kayak with an adult.
With two decades of experience running sea-based activities in Cornwall, the team is known for their welcoming approach, professionalism and local knowledge. The instructors are trained to national standards and hand-picked for their coaching ability and personality, making sure every session feels safe, relaxed and fun.
This private tour option offers something a bit more personal—ideal for families, couples or groups wanting more time, space and flexibility. Whether you’re visiting the area for the first time or looking for a new way to enjoy it, the team goes the extra mile to make your time on the water something to remember.
The location for your sea kayaking session will be confirmed the day before your activity.
You will receive a text/email with the details, including the exact location, directions to the meeting point, and any other important information to ensure you’re prepared for the session.

Coasterring with Lizard adventure. Great day out. Rory was great with us. Got some sea snacks along the way. Great jumps for all levels. Saw the seals. All in all a great day out
I was impressed that Steve contacted me to ask if my adolescents would like a more adventurous experience and tailored the coasteering to them. They all had a great time - came back exhilarated and exhausted. Thanks also for taking some great photos
We had a fab time with Steve guiding us. A wide range of abilities and Steve enabled us all to meet our challenges and succeed. Highly recommend this as an amazing activity. Thumbs up for Steve. Thank you.
Five stars great fun and engaging and entertaining hosting!
It was great and our guide was very enthusiastic, personable and conscientious. Thankyou!
Absolutely fabulous. Chris(?) the instructor was very knowledgeable and helpful but also definitely a ‘people person’. It was my first ever time and I loved every second of it. Will definitely do again. But wanting to make this a frequent thing for me. Sad to think it may not be…
Adam was a very knowledgeable and seemingly very experienced guide on our sea kayaking adventure from Mullion Cove. We had a great time, paddling alongside seals and in and out of caves and coves.
