Dive across three of Indonesia’s best-loved marine regions in one seamless trip through North Sulawesi. This unique Passport to Paradise programme combines resort stays with leisurely boat transfers, offering daily dive opportunities and cultural or wildlife excursions on land. Choose from a 12-night or 15-night package depending on how much you’d like to explore.
12-Night Package
Day 1 starts with a meet and greet at the airport followed by a 45–60 minute transfer to the Manado resort. After a welcome drink and briefing, you'll settle in and enjoy your first evening in North Sulawesi. Days 2–4 are spent diving Bunaken Marine Park. Each day includes two morning boat dives with options for additional afternoon or night dives. You can also join land tours, such as a city visit or volcano trek.
Day 5 is your first resort-to-resort transfer — but instead of a standard journey, this leg includes two boat dives en route to Bangka Island. Days 6–7 are based around reef diving at Bangka. Morning dives are included, with the option to explore more in the afternoon, trek to a local village, or relax in a hammock. On Day 8, you’ll transfer by boat to Lembeh, again including two dive stops. Days 9–12 are based at Lembeh Resort, diving muck sites famous for their bizarre and rare marine life. The trip ends on Day 13 with a transfer to the airport, with the option for a massage before departure.
15-Night Package
This extended itinerary follows the same flow but with more time in each location. Days 1–5 are based at Manado, offering four full days of diving Bunaken’s drop-offs and coral gardens. Optional land tours include the Minahasa Highlands or white water rafting.
On Day 6, transfer by boat to Bangka with two dive stops along the way. Days 7–10 offer more time to explore Bangka’s colourful reefs, kayak through mangroves, or join a guided cultural tour to Lihunu village. Your next transfer on Day 11 includes two more boat dives before arriving at Lembeh.
Days 12–15 are spent muck diving at Lembeh Strait, where expert guides help you find rare species like hairy frogfish, mimic octopus, and flamboyant cuttlefish. Optional Mandarin dives, bonfire dives, or visits to Tangkoko Nature Reserve are also available. Day 16 is for relaxing and transferring back to the airport.
This trip takes place in North Sulawesi, Indonesia, a region known for its rich marine biodiversity and vibrant coral reefs. Indonesia is the world’s largest island nation, located in the Coral Triangle, which supports an extraordinary variety of marine life. North Sulawesi offers clear waters, tropical landscapes, and three distinct dive areas: Manado, Bangka Island, and the Lembeh Strait.
Manado is the gateway to Bunaken Marine Park, famous for steep reef walls and abundant turtles. Bangka Island boasts white sand beaches and colourful reefs packed with marine species. Lembeh Strait is renowned for muck diving, with rare and unusual critters found only in this area. Boat transfers between resorts provide scenic views and extra dive opportunities.
Both packages include stays at three separate resorts, each offering its own style and setting. The main difference between the Standard and Premium packages lies in the level of accommodation provided.
In Manado, the Standard package includes a Deluxe Cottage, while the Premium upgrade offers a Premium Deluxe Cottage with additional space and enhanced comfort. At Bangka Island, Standard guests stay in Standard Oceanfront Cottages, and Premium guests are offered either Premium Oceanfront Cottages closer to the beach or Premium Hillside Cottages with elevated views. At Lembeh Resort, the Standard option includes Garden View Rooms, while Premium guests stay in Premium Luxury Cottages featuring upgraded furnishings and prime locations within the resort.
All room types are air-conditioned with ensuite bathrooms and access to the resort’s restaurant, common areas, and house reef. Whether you choose the Standard or Premium option, you’ll enjoy a peaceful setting, quality service, and comfortable accommodation throughout your trip.
Certified divers of all ages are welcome to join. Divers must bring their certification cards and dive logs. While there’s no minimum age, all divers (including children) must be certified before taking part in diving activities. Children under 7 stay free, including resort transfers.
Snorkellers and non-divers can join the same itinerary, taking part in guided snorkelling trips or land-based tours. A moderate level of fitness is helpful to make the most of daily diving and optional excursions. Nitrox is available for certified users.
The centre offers expert-led diving with a local team known for their friendliness, professionalism, and attention to detail. Every aspect of your trip can be tailored — from your dive schedule to optional tours and rest days. Their staff includes marine biologists and underwater photography guides, and their flexible approach allows you to dive at your pace.
With seamless logistics and a focus on guest experience, they turn travel time into part of the adventure. The Passport to Paradise route is ideal for those who want to maximise time in the water without the hassle of overland travel, while still enjoying the comforts of resort accommodation.
The 12-night package offers a shorter itinerary, including 4 nights at Manado, 3 nights at Bangka, and 5 nights at Lembeh. It’s designed for divers who want to experience all three locations but prefer a more concise trip. The diving schedule includes a total of 22 guided boat dives, plus the dives included during boat transfers between resorts.
The 15-night package extends the stay at both Manado and Bangka to 5 nights each, allowing more time to dive, explore the local culture, or relax. It includes 28 guided boat dives overall. This option is ideal for divers wanting a deeper experience and more opportunities for diving and land activities in each region.
Both packages provide accommodation at three resorts, but the level of comfort and room type varies. The Standard package includes Deluxe Cottages in Manado, Standard Oceanfront Cottages at Bangka, and Garden View Rooms in Lembeh. These rooms are comfortable and well equipped, offering ensuite bathrooms and air-conditioning.
The Premium package upgrades accommodation to Premium Deluxe Cottages in Manado, Premium Oceanfront or Hillside Cottages at Bangka, and Premium Luxury Cottages in Lembeh. These options offer more space, better views, enhanced furnishings, and a higher level of privacy, making them suitable for guests seeking extra comfort during their stay.
Yes, both packages include all meals and snacks throughout the stay, with a focus on fresh, local cuisine. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served at the resorts’ restaurants, alongside tea, coffee, and unlimited drinking water. This ensures you stay energised and hydrated during your diving and activities.
Soft drinks, alcoholic beverages, speciality coffees, and additional snacks beyond what is provided are not included in the packages. These can be purchased separately at the resorts if you wish to enjoy something extra during your stay.
These packages are designed for certified divers who are comfortable with boat diving and multiple dives per day. You should have at least an Open Water Diver certification or equivalent, along with recent dive experience. Nitrox is available for certified divers who wish to use it, at no extra charge.
If you’re a snorkeller or non-diver, you can still enjoy the holiday by participating in snorkelling trips, land tours, or simply relaxing at the resorts. However, the main focus of the packages is scuba diving, so prior certification and fitness are recommended.
Transfers between Manado, Bangka, and Lembeh are done by boat, which is part of the Passport to Paradise experience. Unlike typical transfers, these boat journeys include scheduled dive stops at unique, less-accessed dive sites. Each transfer includes two dives en route, giving guests extra underwater time without losing travel days.
Because these transfer dives are part of a set schedule, they cannot be rescheduled or carried over if missed. Guests should plan accordingly to fully benefit from these unique diving opportunities during transit.
Guided boat dives are led by professional local dive guides who are experienced in the marine environments of North Sulawesi. The guides assist with navigation, pointing out marine life, and ensuring safety. Each package includes 22 or 28 guided boat dives depending on the length of your stay, plus the dives during transfer days.
In addition to the guided dives, guests can also do unlimited unguided house reef dives at each resort. The first house reef dive at every resort is guided to familiarise divers with the area and its marine species.
Yes, there are a few extra fees not covered by the packages. Entrance fees to Bunaken National Park are mandatory and cost IDR 150,000 per person. Additionally, there are voluntary donations for conservation at Bangka and Lembeh to support local marine protection efforts.
Dive surcharges apply for specialty dives such as night dives, blackwater dives, and bonfire dives. Equipment hire is also not included, so guests must bring their own or rent on site. Private guide services are available for an additional fee.
There are numerous land-based tours and activities offered, which can be booked separately. Popular options include visits to traditional markets, volcano treks, lake tours, white water rafting, paragliding, and nature walks at Tangkoko National Park to see wildlife like tarsiers and macaques.
These activities provide a nice balance to the diving and give guests a chance to experience the rich culture and natural beauty of North Sulawesi. Kayaking through the mangroves and village tours at Bangka are also popular, with some included depending on your package.
Guests should have a moderate level of fitness to comfortably complete multiple dives and participate in optional activities. Diving can be physically demanding, especially with frequent boat transfers and some trekking on land tours.
A recent medical statement clearing you for diving is advisable. If you have any health concerns, consult with your doctor before booking. The resorts and guides prioritise safety and will help accommodate divers' needs whenever possible.
