After a pre-trip briefing and a comfortable night in Kathmandu, a short flight opens the trail at Lukla before the walk climbs steadily through Namche Bazaar, Pangboche, Dingboche and Lobuche toward Everest Base Camp. The condensed schedule keeps the walking focused and efficient while still allowing time to take in the villages, monasteries and mountain views along the way.
Rather than retracing the trail on foot, the return from Everest Base Camp is by helicopter directly to Lukla, cutting several days of walking from a longer itinerary. A short flight then returns the group to Kathmandu for a farewell dinner before departure. Trail nights are in lodges and guesthouses, with five star comfort in Kathmandu either side.

The trek runs through the Khumbu, the high valley system beneath Everest that is protected within Sagarmatha National Park and home to the Sherpa people. Villages such as Namche Bazaar, Pangboche and Dingboche combine everyday mountain life with striking views of Ama Dablam, Lhotse and Nuptse along the way.
Kathmandu, the start and end point of the trip, offers a comfortable five star base before and after the trek, with a hotel pickup collecting guests on arrival and again ahead of the flight to Lukla. The helicopter journey back from Everest Base Camp gives a genuinely unique perspective on the terrain just walked through over the previous days.
Kathmandu nights, both at the start of the trip and after the helicopter flight back from Lukla, are spent in a five star hotel, a genuine step up in comfort compared with standard base camp packages. On the trail itself, nights are spent in lodges and guesthouses typical of the Khumbu, with twin rooms and shared facilities that become simpler above Namche Bazaar.
Warm dining rooms and hearty meals mark the end of each trekking day, while the five star Kathmandu nights offer proper rest either side of the trek. Flying back from Everest Base Camp by helicopter rather than walking out trims several nights from the trail, so the trip spends fewer nights in mountain lodges than a standard itinerary of similar length.
