The Peak Performance Buoyancy Specialty Course improves your buoyancy skills to make diving easier and more efficient. You will complete two dives in one day, focusing on weighting, trim, and breathing techniques. It is ideal for divers wanting to save air and protect the marine environment.
During the course, you will complete two guided dives focused on refining your buoyancy control through practical exercises. You will start by assessing and adjusting your weighting system to ensure optimal balance, which is essential for maintaining neutral buoyancy. Then you will learn how to position your weights and body to improve trim, reducing unnecessary movement and effort underwater.
Breathing techniques form a core part of the training, showing you how controlled, mindful breathing can help regulate buoyancy naturally. You’ll practise using small lung volume changes to ascend, descend, and hover precisely without relying heavily on your buoyancy compensator device. These techniques reduce air consumption, extend dive time, and decrease fatigue.
Your instructor will provide personalised feedback tailored to your current skill level, helping you identify and correct inefficient habits. The course also covers how better buoyancy protects delicate marine environments by minimising contact with reefs and sea life. Training is designed to fit around your holiday, leaving ample time to enjoy the varied dive sites of North Sulawesi.
The course is delivered in North Sulawesi, Indonesia, a world-renowned diving destination known for its clear waters and extraordinary biodiversity. Dive sites around Manado, Bunaken, Bangka, and Lembeh provide diverse underwater environments, from coral reefs and walls to muck diving spots rich with unusual critters.
