Get ready to dip your toes into the exciting world of paddleboarding. Whether you're looking for a fun day out with the family or trying a new outdoor activity, this session will guide you through the basics in a relaxed and welcoming environment. Perfect for beginners, you’ll learn essential paddleboarding techniques and have the chance to try standing up for the first time.
This session starts with a brief introduction to the equipment and basic paddleboarding skills. You’ll be taught how to paddle forward and turn your board, and the guide will assist you in standing up for the first time, making sure you’re confident with the basics. If you take a tumble, don’t worry—we’ll also cover how to get back on your board safely.
Throughout the session, the coach will be available to answer any questions you have, whether it’s about technique, the best paddleboarding spots in Scotland, or advice on improving your skills. The session is designed to be fun and stress-free, so you can enjoy the experience while learning. Depending on the weather conditions, locations may vary, but you’ll always be in a safe, sheltered environment.
Sessions will be held at scenic locations around Fort William, such as Neptune’s Staircase, Loch Oich, or Linnhe Lochside Holidays. Each spot offers a calm and sheltered area, ideal for learning paddleboarding basics while enjoying the natural beauty of the Scottish Highlands.
Due to variable weather conditions, the session location may change to ensure the best possible conditions for the group.
This is a beginner-friendly session, and no prior paddleboarding skills are needed.
Participants should feel comfortable being in the water and have basic swimming abilities. Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
