Our comprehensive two-day course covers essential topics to prepare you for a successful paddlesport instructor career and for the Paddle UK Paddlesport Instructor Assessment. You'll start by learning how to kit up a group and get afloat safely, ensuring everyone is equipped and ready for the water. Initial familiarisation activities will help you engage participants and build rapport, setting the stage for effective learning.
Next, you'll delve into the art of using mini journeys to promote environmental exploration, fostering a deeper connection with nature while honing paddling skills. Safety is paramount, so you'll learn group safety measures to manage risks effectively and ensure a safe paddling experience for everyone involved. Throughout the course, practical application of teaching techniques will be emphasised, equipping you with the tools to inspire and educate paddlers of all levels.

To enroll in this course, we recommend completion of the Paddle Explore Award or equivalent, around 70 hours of personal paddling experience, being aged 14 or over, and having membership with the National Association.
