Based in Morzine for seven days, this hosted ski and snowboard holiday gives confident riders the chance to experience a different mountain area each day without repeatedly packing or changing accommodation. The planned route combines major linked ski domains with smaller local resorts, allowing you to discover pistes that many visitors to the region overlook.
Each morning, the group leaves the chalet by minibus at approximately 8:00am (subject to confirmation) before heading to a different ski destination. Transport between Morzine and each featured resort is included, allowing you to relax and enjoy the week without planning routes or driving. Designed for strong intermediate skiers and snowboarders, this is an ideal choice for those who enjoy exploring new terrain while sharing the experience with like-minded people.
Daniel created these holidays after taking friends skiing and realising there were plenty of people looking for a more relaxed and sociable alternative to a traditional chalet holiday. Today, the same friendly atmosphere remains, with hosts joining guests on the mountain, organising each day's plans and making sure everyone feels welcome from the moment they arrive.
Instead of spending an entire week skiing the same slopes, you'll discover a range of nearby resorts while still returning to the comfort of the same chalet every evening. It's a fantastic way to experience more of the French Alps without constantly moving accommodation.
After settling into the chalet, begin the week by exploring Morzine and part of the Portes du Soleil ski area. This opening day allows everyone to ease into the holiday while enjoying a mixture of scenic pistes and becoming familiar with the local lift system.
The host will help organise the day, giving everyone the chance to ski or snowboard together before returning to the chalet for dinner and a relaxed first evening with the rest of the group.
Following breakfast, the group heads to Thollon-les-Mémises, a quieter resort overlooking Lake Geneva. Its smaller size makes it easy to explore while offering a completely different feel to the larger interconnected ski areas.
Spend the day discovering its varied pistes before returning to Morzine for another enjoyable evening at the chalet.
Today's destination is the Grand Massif, where Samoëns links with Flaine to create one of the largest ski areas visited during the week.
A wide selection of runs allows confident skiers and snowboarders to cover plenty of ground while enjoying different mountain scenery from earlier in the trip. The host will coordinate meeting points and the return journey back to Morzine.
Return to the Portes du Soleil to spend the day exploring the high-altitude slopes around Avoriaz. Wide pistes, modern lifts and excellent connections provide plenty of opportunities to experience another side of this enormous ski region.
Conditions and group preferences will help shape the day's route before everyone heads back to the chalet for another sociable evening.
Travel to Praz de Lys for a day at one of the region's quieter ski resorts. With fewer crowds and a relaxed atmosphere, it's an excellent opportunity to enjoy a different style of skiing or snowboarding while continuing to discover new areas of the French Alps.
After a full day on the mountain, the group returns to Morzine for dinner and time to relax.
The final ski day takes you to Saint-Jean-d'Aulps and the Roc d'Enfer ski area. Known for its enjoyable circular routes and quieter slopes, it provides a fitting end to a week spent exploring beyond the better-known resorts.
Your final evening back at the chalet is the perfect opportunity to share stories from the week and enjoy one last meal together before departure.
Enjoy breakfast before checking out of the chalet and beginning your journey home.
Please note that the planned itinerary may change if weather, snow conditions, road access or lift operations require adjustments. Alternative resorts or changes to the order of the week may be used to ensure the best possible skiing experience.
Accommodation is provided in a recently renovated chalet located approximately 30 seconds from the Super Morzine lift and around two minutes from the Pleney lift. With just six en-suite bedrooms arranged as twin or double rooms, it offers a comfortable and welcoming place to return to after each day on the mountain.
Inside, you'll find underfloor heating throughout, a large fireplace, comfortable lounge areas and modern furnishings designed for relaxing after skiing or snowboarding. The chalet also features internet TV, a sound system and plenty of communal space where guests can unwind together each evening.
This trip is designed for strong intermediate and advanced skiers or snowboarders who are confident spending full days on the mountain. You'll enjoy the variety of resorts much more if you're comfortable on blue and red runs and happy exploring unfamiliar ski areas.
If you've never skied or snowboarded before, this holiday won't be suitable. A beginner holiday with lessons is strongly recommended before joining a trip like this.
