This private afternoon snorkelling session is ideal if you want a shorter, focused time on the water with professional supervision. With one guided snorkelling round from a boat, it suits beginners and relaxed snorkellers who want clear instruction and a calm pace.
Site choice is flexible and based on the day’s conditions, ensuring the best possible visibility and comfort rather than following a fixed route.
The session starts at the port with paperwork followed by a clear safety briefing covering equipment use, hand signals, and water entry techniques. Once everyone is ready, you’ll board the boat and head to the snorkelling site chosen by the captain based on weather, swell, and visibility.
In the water, the instructor stays close throughout the snorkelling round, keeping the pace steady and adjusting depth and distance to suit your confidence level. The focus is on relaxed exploration rather than covering large distances, making it suitable for those who prefer a calm, guided experience.
You’ll snorkel over coral reefs that are home to a wide range of tropical fish, with chances to see clownfish, snappers, rays, and occasionally sea turtles. Photos and short video clips are taken during the session and shared afterwards at no extra cost.
Snorkelling takes place by boat around Minna Island, Sesoko Island, or the coastal waters near Motobu in northern Okinawa. These areas are known for reef systems close to shore and conditions that work well for guided snorkelling.
The final site is selected on the day after assessing sea and weather conditions. This flexible approach helps avoid poor visibility or rough water and prioritises safety and enjoyment.
No previous snorkelling experience is required, but participants must be comfortable floating in open water while wearing a mask, snorkel, and fins. Full instruction is provided before entering the sea, and the instructor remains nearby at all times.
For safety and insurance reasons, this activity is not suitable for people with certain medical conditions, including heart or respiratory issues, epilepsy, diabetes, recent surgeries, or low levels of fitness. Height, weight, and age limits apply and are strictly enforced.
This session is run privately, allowing the instructor to focus entirely on your group and adapt the pace to your comfort level. This is particularly useful for first-time snorkellers or those who prefer extra reassurance in the water.
Guiding is provided by a highly experienced bilingual instructor with extensive international diving and snorkelling experience. Equipment is professionally maintained and cleaned after every use, and photography is included so you can enjoy the session without worrying about capturing images yourself.
