North of the city the dunes open out after the 4x4 leaves Dubai and the tyres go down. The morning includes photo stops, sandboarding, a camel farm, a short camel ride, and Arabic coffee with dates at camp before we bring you back to the hotel.
We'll collect you from your Dubai hotel and head north to open sand, and once the tyres are down your driver will take you over the dunes with stops for photographs. You can travel in a shared vehicle or a private one, and your booking may include a short quad or buggy add-on. Seat belts stay on for every climb, and the run is lively after the tyres go down, so tell the driver if you want a steadier line.
On a soft slope we'll give you a short talk, and you can try sandboarding if you want to or watch from the ridge. At camp you'll be welcomed with gahwa and dates, then you can try a brief camel ride, more sandboarding, and shisha if you want it. Refreshments sit in the morning rather than a sit-down breakfast, so eat at the hotel before pickup if you want a full meal. The same vehicle takes the road back into the city, usually late morning, for about four hours from lobby to lobby with hotel pickup and return in Dubai included.
On this safari morning you'll head to dunes sit outside Dubai, in the emirate's desert belt where 4x4s can climb long ridges and pause on soft slopes for sandboarding. The city falls away on the drive out, and the rest of the morning stays on open sand until you turn back toward the hotels.
We'll handle pickup and drop-off are at your Dubai hotel. We send the lobby time beforehand. Sharing and private vehicle options use the same desert ground; the difference is how many guests ride in your jeep, not a different emirate or coast line.
You'll need to be at least five years old. Children travel with an adult. No desert-driving experience is required. You sit as a passenger for the dune run.
We recommend wearing closed shoes and sun protection. Children stay with an adult in the same jeep for the dune run, sandboarding, and the camel ride.
Dubai morning safaris are a staple of our desert desk: lobby pickup, dune driving, camp coffee, and return in the same jeep. Shared and private vehicles are confirmed when you book, and drivers keep one route through the sand rather than splitting the group mid-morning.
We know which mornings fill quickly and how long the four-hour lobby-to-lobby window usually runs. If the desert is closed, we phone you rather than sending an empty 4x4 to the hotel.
We collect you from your Dubai hotel. Be in the lobby at the time we send you. The same 4x4 brings you back to that hotel at the end of the morning. Do not travel to the Sharjah office.
We collect you from your Dubai hotel in the morning. The lobby window is sent to you beforehand, so you know when to be downstairs.
Please stay in the hotel until the 4x4 arrives. If your stay is outside the usual pickup area we will tell you before the morning and agree a meeting point that still works for the dunes.
Yes. Hotel pickup in Dubai is part of the morning, and the same vehicle brings you back after the camp stop. You do not drive yourself into the desert.
Be in the lobby at the time we send you. If you are staying at more than one address, tell us the hotel for that morning.
The outing lasts about four hours from lobby to lobby. That includes the drive north out of Dubai, the dune run, sandboarding, the farm stop, the camel ride, coffee at camp, and the return.
How long you spend on each stop depends on the group and the sand. We still aim to have you back late morning.
You'll need to be at least five years old. Children travel with an adult in the same 4x4, and they stay with that adult for the dune run, the board slope, and the camel ride.
Please tell us the ages when you confirm so we can seat the group correctly. The driver keeps the group together for the dunes, the farm, and the camp.
Groups stay at a maximum of nine. You can choose a shared 4x4 or a private vehicle, and your booking may include a short quad or buggy add-on. We tell you beforehand which one you have.
Your driver keeps the group together for the dunes, the board slope, the farm, and the camp. You are not split across different routes.
No desert-driving experience is required. Your driver handles the 4x4. You sit as a passenger with a seat belt on for the dune run.
Before sandboarding and the camel ride you get a short briefing on the sand. You can sit a stop out and watch if you prefer.
The morning includes photo stops, refreshments, sandboarding, a camel farm stop, a short camel ride, Arabic coffee and dates at camp, and shisha if you want it. The 4x4 tyres are let down once you reach the sand.
This is not a sit-down breakfast. Eat at the hotel before pickup if you want a full meal.
We recommend wearing closed shoes you do not mind getting sandy, and bring a hat, sunglasses, and sun protection. A light layer helps at pickup.
We'd suggest leaving loose scarves that can catch on the board. Keep phones in a zip pocket on the dunes.
Yes. The 4x4 moves over soft sand and the ride can feel lively after the tyres are let down. Your driver reads the dunes and keeps the line as smooth as the sand allows.
Tell the driver at the briefing if you want a steadier line. You can also sit out sandboarding or the camel ride and stay with the coffee at camp.
Yes. Sandboarding and the camel ride are there if you want them. Tell the driver at the briefing if you would rather watch from the ridge or stay with the coffee at camp.
We won't push anyone onto a board or a camel. The morning still works if you prefer photographs and the dune run.
