Across three engaging days, you’ll develop the competence and confidence to act effectively in a range of emergency scenarios. The course begins with understanding the role and responsibilities of a first aider, learning how to assess incidents, and practising core life-saving techniques such as CPR. You’ll also explore how to identify and respond to common workplace issues, including shock, bleeding, and burns.
Day two and three take your knowledge further, focusing on the recognition and management of illnesses and injuries, such as chest and spinal injuries, fractures, and anaphylaxis. Upon successful completion, you’ll receive the HABC Level 3 First Aid at Work certificate, which is recognised nationally and valid for three years. This qualification meets Health and Safety Executive (HSE) requirements for workplace first aiders, making it suitable for a wide range of industries.

You should wear comfortable clothing suitable for practical work, as you’ll be kneeling and moving around during exercises. It’s also a good idea to bring a notebook, pen, and a bottle of water.
Lunch is not included, so you may want to bring your own food or visit one of the nearby cafés or shops during the break. All other course materials and equipment will be provided for you.
