Hire a kayak for a half or full day on the lochs around Callander, with delivery available to popular launch points. Ideal for guests who want a more personal paddle and the freedom to explore sheltered shores at their own pace.
This is a self-guided kayak hire. After a short briefing on basic strokes, staying balanced, and what to do if you capsize, you head out with the kayak, paddle, buoyancy aid, and route advice matched to conditions and experience.
Kayaks are commonly collected from Callander or delivered to popular lochs so you can start closer to the water. Expect a personal paddle with room for shoreline exploration, photo stops, and a relaxed pace on sheltered water when the wind allows.
Dogs are not permitted on kayaks. Light rain is often fine, but strong wind or unsafe water may mean a different launch point or a rearrange. Optional water shoes, childrens wet shoes, phone cases, and dry bags can be added at checkout.
Based in Callander on the edge of Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park. Kayaks can be collected from the shop or delivered to Loch Lubnaig, Loch Venachar, Loch Voil, Strathyre Cabins, Loch of Menteith, Monocle Moore, or Tymore for an additional delivery fee shown at booking.
These lochs offer calm water, forested banks, and mountain views. Staff can recommend a route that suits your time, ability, and the conditions on the day.
Paddlers must be aged 12 or over and confident swimmers. Under 16s need a responsible adult present. Bring photo ID and clothing suitable for getting wet. Dogs are not permitted on kayaks.
If you are brand new to kayaking, choose a calmer loch and a half-day first. Soft-soled shoes and quick-drying layers make launching and paddling more comfortable from the start.
Your hire includes the kayak, paddle, buoyancy aid, and practical route advice. Optional water shoes, childrens wet shoes, waterproof phone cases, and dry bags are available at checkout so you can travel light.
Delivery to popular lochs keeps logistics simple, and local knowledge helps you avoid exposed water when the wind is up so your self-guided day stays enjoyable.

If delivery is selected, you will receive the meeting point and timing before your hire so you can arrive ready to launch.
The minimum age is 12. Anyone under 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult for the whole session.
