We had an amazing time with Ross. I have 3 children who vary in ages. 14, 11 and 8. My 14 year old is adventure mad and my 8 year old is more cautious. Ross ensured there was lots of adventure for the eldest boys and gave lots of support…

Get the blood pumping in either the stunning Cathedral quarry or the gorgeous Hodge Close Quarry by abseiling into the depths with views out to the Central Lake District. Tourists will gaze in awe at your antics as you descend Tom Cruise style down the immense quarry walls.
Then experience the thrill of Ghyll Scrambling, also known as Canyoning, a crowd-favourite adventure in our line-up. Dive into the heart of nature as you slip and slide down natural polished rock slides, jump into the exhilarating deep pools, and face the challenge of the waterfalls cascading around you.
Start your day atop the huge quarry pit of Hodge Close where you will be briefed on the activities and be handed the morning equipment. From there we will either stay at Hodge Close or take a short walk to Cathedral Quarry to get kitted up and start some practice abseils. You will then do the first descent and feel the excitement of a short abseil. Next, we will move to something more dramatic! The next abseil is a big one! You will be able to abseil as many times as the morning allows. We will return to the cars for a spot of lunch.
Your lunch can be provided by us as an extra.
A short drive will see us arriving at Church Beck for the afternoon. Here you will get dressed up in wetsuits and other things to keep you warm and safe. A very short walk takes us to the start of the Ghyll. Once in the river, you will launch on a journey filled with excitement. Brace yourself for rock chutes, daring jumps, and refreshing waterfall pools.
Our Extreme Adventure Day offers an unforgettable blend of excitement and beauty which we can adapt to all levels of bravery, ensuring an accessible yet exciting experience for everyone.

We had a great time scambling up Church Beck with Ross. Also lots of jumps and we did the absail. Ross was great at accomodating both a daredevil 13 year old and his less confident mum!
The Ghyll scrambling was soooo much fun. Highly recommend activity if you want some excitement.
I attended with my son aged 10. Instructors were amazing. Equipment was new, fitted well and clean. Such an amazing day, would love to do it again.
We had loads of fun with Innis (standing in for Ross). He was a great guide and we felt both safe and exhilarated, which is just what you need with a teen and a tween eager to test their limits and a more cautious mum :)
