Our Ghyll Scrambling adventures offer an unforgettable blend of excitement and natural beauty. With various routes and locations, our Ghyll Scrambling adventures cater to all levels of bravery, ensuring an accessible yet exciting experience for everyone. The activity location varies based on your needs. Discover diverse challenges in stunning handpicked locations such as; Ulswater, Keswick, Thirlmere, Langdale, Eskdale, Coniston and Windermere. The precise location will be agreed upon booking as we are flexible to your preference. This listing is for The Esk, Eskdale, but can be discussed if this is most suitable for your group and the weather on the day.
No prior experience is needed; Ghyll Scrambling is designed for participants of all levels however The Esk requires reasonable fitness as there is a 45 minute walk to start and finish the day and you may be in the water for up to 4 hrs. Our expert guides ensure a safe and enjoyable experience, providing guidance every step of the way.
Children as young as 6 may be able to participate in some ghylls, but the minimum age for The Esk is 12 yrs old and under 18s must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. Customers should specifically request any child under the age of 12 for any ghyll, and this will be subject to approval by Follow Your Path Adventures. Please contact us if your child is under 12 and you believe that The Esk would be suitable - this will be judged on a case by case basis.

We had a great time scambling up Church Beck with Ross. Also lots of jumps and we did the absail. Ross was great at accomodating both a daredevil 13 year old and his less confident mum!
