Cross both sides of the island on your own scooter in about three hours. The loop takes in planes coming in over Maho, a pause on the sand at Mullet Bay, Marigot Market and a look toward St Barths, then Orient Bay and Grand Case.
You are on two wheels, not a coach. After a briefing and a helmet you roll out of Philipsburg in a relaxed group. Maho comes first, under the airport, for arriving planes, then Mullet Bay for a short break on the sand. The guide picks safe places to pull in so you are not standing in the road.
After that you cross to the French side for market stalls in Marigot, a view toward St Barths, Orient Bay and the clear water at Grand Case before you head back. Photo stops are built in and the pace is easy, but the roads are still real, with hills and traffic. Pickup in Philipsburg is available if you booked it.
The loop starts in Philipsburg and crosses to the French side, so you get both capitals and two different coastlines in one outing. Maho sits under the airport approach, Marigot and Grand Case sit on the north-west shore, and Orient Bay is on the north-east.
Front Street is a short walk from the cruise port. If you booked pickup in Philipsburg, we confirm the collection point after you book. You can also walk from the port if you are off a ship that day.
You should be comfortable riding a scooter in a group on public roads. The tour is graded easy and the pace is relaxed, but you still deal with traffic, hills and coastal corners. It is not a first lesson.
Bring a valid licence if you need one for the scooter you are given. Say at the briefing if you have never ridden in a group, so the guide can put you in a spot that feels comfortable.
You are with guides who know both sides of the island, based a short walk from the cruise port on Front Street. They take you to the places they actually go, rather than a packed coach loop.
Scooter days and hill walks come from the same shop. Every trip is built around enjoyment: fun, safe, and still a proper island day rather than a rush between stops.
Helmets on at the Philipsburg shop, a short briefing on how the group rides, then you roll out of town. If you booked pickup, you join the same briefing so everyone leaves together.
First stop is Maho, under the airport approach, for arriving planes and the beach. The guide picks a safe place to pull in so you can watch without standing in the road.
After the planes, Mullet Bay is a local beach for sand, photos and a short breather. Then it is back on the scooters and on toward the French side while the group is still together.
Marigot Market is the French-side town stop, a walk among the stalls after the coastal ride. Nearby viewpoints look toward St Barths before you continue along the north-east coast.
Orient Bay and Grand Case close the loop with beach and village time. Clear water at Grand Case is the last pause before you ride back toward Philipsburg.
Meet on Front Street in Philipsburg, unless pickup in town is confirmed on your booking. The shop is a short walk from the cruise port.
Bring closed shoes and a valid licence if you need one. Allow time to walk from the port if you are on a ship that day.
Plan for about three hours from briefing to return, including Maho, Mullet Bay, Marigot, Orient Bay and Grand Case. Photo pauses are built into that window.
Traffic and a longer beach stop can stretch the finish slightly. Your confirmation shows the start time at Front Street or your pickup point.
Yes. You ride your own scooter and we lead the convoy. We choose the pull-ins as we go, so you can stay with the group without navigating the island alone.
If you would rather hire a scooter and go alone, book the self-ride hire instead. This is the guided tour, with a set route and a local out front.
Yes. We grade it easy and we know the safer stops on both sides of the island. You still need basic scooter control in traffic.
Tell us at briefing if you are new to group riding so we can place you in the line and keep the pace steady.
We meet on Front Street in Philipsburg. Pickup in Philipsburg is available and we confirm it after you book.
Ship passengers can usually walk from the cruise port to Front Street. Allow extra time on busy port days.
We stop at Maho Beach for aircraft, Mullet Bay, Marigot Market, a view toward St Barths, Orient Bay and Grand Case. That covers both the Dutch and French sides.
We may adjust a stop if weather or road works get in the way, but the aim is that same loop rather than a random drive.
Closed-toe shoes, clothes you can ride in, and sun protection. We provide a helmet. Bring water and a little cash if you want a snack at a beach or market stop.
Avoid loose scarves and flip-flops. A light layer helps if a shower passes over the west coast.
Say so at the briefing. We'll explain spacing and where to wait if you miss a turning. The pace is easy.
You still need to be able to start, stop and ride in traffic. This is not a first-ever scooter lesson.
No. Stops are for photos, a market walk and beach time. Anything you buy at Marigot or Grand Case is extra.
Eat before we start if you want a proper meal, or bring a snack you can eat at a pull-in without delaying the group.
Light rain can still allow the loop when roads are safe. Heavy rain or strong wind can make the coastal sections a poor idea, especially around the airport and wet town paint.
If we need to move the departure, we'll contact you. Don't feel you have to ride if you are unhappy with the conditions after the briefing.
No. Hire is self-ride with no guide and a half-day, full-day or overnight window. This tour is a timed three-hour ride with us leading the stops.
Book hire if you want to choose your own route. Book this tour if you want Maho, Marigot and Grand Case without navigating them alone.

Sobre el centro
Philipsburg
You'll find us on Front Street in Philipsburg, a short walk from the cruise port on the Dutch side of Sint Maarten. Local guides lead hikes on Sentry Hill and St Peters Hill, and a shop-front fleet of scooters is ready if you would rather explore the island at your own pace.
We'll brief you at the shop before you set off, whether you join a guided scooter tour or hire a scooter for the day. Trails stay on established routes above town, and the rental desk is set up for cruise-day timings as well as longer stays. Tell us how you want to spend the day and we'll help you choose the hike or ride that fits.
